About me:

Mo Kelly (www.mokelly.com) is now firmly established as one of Ireland's highest profile DJs, regularly spinning at launches, art exhibitions and fashion shows. Having graced the decks of nearly every club in Ireland Mo has also broken on an International level, with residencies in ZINC Dubai and gigs as diverse as ARTMOSH for Nixon in France, Full Moon Thailand, Speakerbox and 33 Feet East, London. Mos love of Music started from an early age, her parents love of Opera, her mothers piano playing and her older siblings record collection sparked off a lifelong obsession with music. Born in Dublin, she studied fine art painting and quickly got involved in the lively art and music scene, putting together music for fashion shows, exhibitions and plays. Encouraged by her friends in music she secured her first DJ slot at the opening night of 3345 in Dublin, the only female DJ in the impressive line up included Paul Hartnoll Of Orbital. A year spent traveling solo around the world lead to more gigs culminating in a memorable appearance at the infamous Full Moon party, Thailand, this led to sets at both Homelands and Creamfields. But Mo has a special place in her heart for the Irish Festivals, most notably Electric Picnic, DEAF Festival, BudRising (where she supported Groove Armada), Oxygen,Greenenergy, Glimmerball and Ladyfest. Mo can also be found rocking private/press/after parties most recently for the likes of U2 , Kaiser chiefs, MTV, TopShop, BT2, Gratzia magazine, Sunday Times Style Magazine and iPhone, amongst many others. Mo is also a successful artist, garnering considerable interest in the art world over the last few years. She has had ten sold out exhibitions. including two solo shows. She works in mixed media using oils, pastels, charcoal and acrylic. The Irish Prime Minister (Taoiseach) being one of her recent patrons. (Mos’ painting was chosen from a panel of artists to be officially presented to the Taoiseach) Mo has combined her love of music with art and is currently working on album artwork. In 2008, Mo was invited to join a select number of artists as part of the worldwide Nixon Art Mosh tours, she may even jump on the turntables at some of the shows. ..
