DJ Mr. Wonderful is an individual who enjoys all types of music but his passion lies with Retro Alternative, Industrial, Goth and New Wave. Believe it or not, Mr. Wonderful originally was not a DJ but started as a bouncer at parties. Ironically, his name came about when a fan who appreciated the music Mr. Wonderful was spinning one night when no DJ's showed up at the club he was bouncing at. The promoter gave Mr. Wonderful two crates of records and said do what you can with them. Since then, Mr. Wonderful’s goal is to fulfill the soul of audience he has been involved with musically his entire life by letting the key element of music itself encompass him and express the emotion he has towards the music he plays.
Mr. Wonderful expresses that every Alternative song has a story that relates to our lives by past experiences in both love and life in general. There are songs that may remind us of someone or events in our life that we might have forgotten and that is what brings life into perspective. Mr. Wonderful's style of spinning brings a level of emotional joy that makes everyone want to get up and live life for what it is. His style began in the early 90's and is heavily influenced by such groups as Erasure, The Cure, Depeche Mode and New Order to name a few. Throughout the years, Mr. Wonderful has had to encounter many challenges some of which even seemed impossible to overcome but with music, he has been able to endure these obstacles and express his life musically which is vaguely known to his audience.
Mr. Wonderful states that if you really listen close to one of his all time favorites by New Order titled Subculture, one will be able to relate their life with this song as it brings a form of inner peace. The song states "What do I get out of this” and there is so much truth to it because everyone can relate to what it’s like to have family and loved ones in your life.
