Nick Bowman's progress in the DJ world has been very impressive and incredibly quick. He has achieved so much in just a few years and he is set to continue growing in stature, both as a DJ and producer. Nick has played at some of the best clubs in the world including The Gallery at Ministry of Sound, Club Shelter at Ministry of Sound, Pacha - London (Main Room) and for Smartie Partie at Scala on New Year's Eve. Nick has also toured Colombia, playing at some of the biggest clubs in a scene that is electric and on fire. He has recently returned from a successful Italian tour.
Nick has recently won the prestigious IDJ Magazine Raw Talent competition. Here is what some top international DJs have said about Nick's winning mix:
JODY WISTERNOFF: "I loved this from the get-go! There's great energy, it..s the skippy, funky tech-house. It peaks in all the right places and stays true to the techy groove. The driving but sexy vibe makes this mix stand out!"
DEEPGROOVE: "This is a great driving mix, so much so, our journey to Brighton flew by! The great thing is Nick really keeps up the energy levels, and you can really imagine him jumping around. A good solid selection that might hopefully push him to peak-time slots."
RIVA STARR: "A very well mixed and selected CD. He..s got tastes and skills and keeps the energy rolling throughout without it ever getting too strong or too weak. Big shout on the intro, too - cheesy but funny!"
He is resident DJ along with friends Elzo and DMR at "MAZE", an underground house and techno night in Norwich. He has mixed live on The Future Underground Show on Future Radio, played at Overdose at Ponana, D*Tached at Bluenotes 2, Funktastic / War of the DJs and Fat Factory all at Media Night Club.
Nick's podomatic mix page has proved to be a massive success. His mixes have been downloaded in their thousands and in all corners of the globe. He is also the resident podcast contributor for the hugely popular website www.bestofhouse.co.uk
Nick has played in various clubs in Colombia and will be returning for a new tour at the end of 2009. This tour will include the cities of Bogota, Medellin, Cali, Cartagena amongst other cities. Nick will certainly begin work on his own productions this year so look out for some quality tunes.
He has played live and had his mixes played on The Future Underground Show in England, "The Drug" in Denmark and Radio Planeta in Cali, Colombia and he was Artist of the Week for online radio station http://staticprogress.com/. He started by playing predominantly dirty electro house. At the moment he plays driving tech house, techno, minimal techno, progressive house and electro house. Nick likes music with a filthy bassline.
Besides being a DJ, Nick also acts as a promoter/agent for English DJs looking for gigs in Colombia. Nick is keen to make contact with both big name and not so well known DJs for organizing gigs/tours in Colombia. If you are a DJ and this interests you please leave Nick a message.

Coming Soon! String Theory Recordings presents, STRR002: Dubclot "Yout Man", in stores November 24, 2009. Featuring 4 mixes of Breakbeat dance music. Including mixes from Dubclot, Beat Mavericks, and James Nao.
This is the next release by PERCENT RECS. It was given to the very young producers from Italy - Aumrec.
The duo's distinctive mark in this release is their eccentric sound.
They create their sound under the influence of the artists Umek, Sven Väth, Jeff Mills... and will skillfully present it to the audience in the future.
It would be difficult to determine the exact category of these artists' music.
Deep, experimental, acid-minimal and techno are just a very small part of Aumrec's sounding in this release.
They boldly introduce to us their vision of contemporary electronic dance music. Aumrec's sounding is partly modern and brave but they've put a light, interesting flavour of the good, old Detroit techno.
This release is just for you if you happen to like either Cristian Vogel, Neil Landstrumm or Pacou.
You will have the opportunity to buy PERCENT RECS 03 from Beatport, Juno, DJShop and other online stores starting from 10 November 2009.
