NICKY, NICKY, NICKY. I THOUGHT IT WAS 30 YEARS SINCE I'VE KNOWN YOU, BUT IT'S NOT! IT HAS BEEN 34 YEARS! MY HOW THE YEARS HAVE GONE BY. I USE TO SNEAK DOWN TO LOWER MANHATTAN JUST TO GO SEE YOU. IT WAS THE HOTTEST UNDERGROUND THING HAPPENING BACK IN 1975. YOU WERE AMAZING AND OUTRAGEOUS. I LOVED YOU. I HAD MY FAVORITE COUCH I USE TO SIT ON AND JUST BE FASCINATED WITH YOU. YOU USE TO TALK A LOT OF MESS TOO. LOL. I REMEMBER, WHAT REALLY GOT THE CROWD GOING WAS WHEN THE LIGHTS WERE FLICKERING TO THE BEAT, THE WALLS WERE SWEATING, THE MUSIC WAS PUMPING AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN .....THERE WAS COMPLETE SILENCE. YOU WOULD JUST TURN THE DAMN MUSIC OFF AND WE WOULD LOOK AROUND LIKE..."WHAT THE HE--".....THEN YOU WOULD TALK YOUR MESS. YOU KNOW WHAT!! THAT WAS AWESOME. PEOPLE WOULD RUN OVER TO YOU SO YOU COULD TURN THE VOLUME BACK ON AND THAT WAS YOUR THING. OH I NEVER SAW ANYTHING LIKE IT BEFORE. YOU SURELY HAD THE CROWD UNDER YOUR COMMAND. EVERY DJ HAS THEIR OWN SIGNATURE GLITCH BUT NO ONE HAS EVER DONE THAT LIKE YOU. ANYWAY, I TRULY WISH I COULD BE THERE TO HELP YOU CELEBRATE YOUR FINAL BITRHDAY BEFORE RETIREMENT. The resident crew is back at Public Assembly (back room) on Saturday March 28th. As usual there is NO COVER and note - we actually get started at 11PM (even though the flyer says 10PM).
