Rob Nutek has been a DJ since 1989 and has played sets in the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Thailand and Malaysia. His first real experiences of house were at a traveler festival on the renowned 'Castle Morton Common' in Gloucestershire and Bug Jam in Northampton. By 1994 He was fully grasped by the House and Techno movements of the uk.
1996 he made a trip to California and networked in and around Los Angeles and San Francisco. Within a few weeks he'd played several venues, eventually playing on a regular basis. He had a residency at 'A Deeper Level Cafe' and spun a handful of sets on Groove Radio 103.1. His experience was growing in all aspects of his work. He also played other venues and parties around California (See attached event list).
The year 2001 Nutek headed for Asia, Thailand, and set up base there. 2005 he spent the most part playing various venues all over Bangkok city but with a special twist, taking residency Saturdays and wednesdays at the reknowned FLIX in Bangkok. With residencies and guests slots under his belt he has performed at many of the top bars, clubs and cafes in Bangkok. 2006 he ventured to malaysia. he took up residency at loft "upstairs" . now a regular on the scene at TWENTY ONE and various other venues in the city and beyond. now 2008 lots of production experience and djing hes ready to take whats on order, in a key position to take a good hold on the coming months and spread the vibe that is... 2006 Rob Nutek dedicated alot more time to his production Now 2008 his djing and productions are becoming renowned in Kuala Lumpur He joined forces on a production project with partners Glynn Tandy and Blastique to form NU-TANDIQUE a malaysian based dance music team. thier first release was in collaboration with the CUT out of sydney and the track entitled Gimme Head by the radiators, was released and stayed in the chart top 10 for 10 weeks and got to number 3. .The track is on MINISTRY OF SOUND SESSION 5 ANNUAL 08
The future is looking good for rob with alot of productions at there final stages. look out for robs productions taking over his sets in the neat future, with great possibilities in furthering his production with some great signings this year and next. with his heart where it is he can not fail.
