MIAMI. FL (Updated 9/10) DJ NVS Styles has been nominated for 3 category's for 2011 SEA Awards. NVS is now a coast 2 coast DJ so will be heavy on the Mixtape scene. Currently has 2010 Get Wasted, Hustlers Pair-A-Dice V.3, & The Bunny Lounge to his credit. NVS was also the 2009 Skullcandy DJ champ! Besides battles NVS recently became the resident DJ @ Karu & Y which is hands down the most expensive and hottest club in Miami. Also had the pleasure of being the DJ for Superbowl champ Sam Madison's private birthday affair. NVS is also the tour DJ for The Pack who are on Jive Records. NVS was on tour performing on MTV's Campus Invasion in ATL, then toured in Cali 1st week of May, as well as Chris Brown's 18th bday bash filmed for MTV @ Club Avalon in NYC. NVS did not just play the background tour DJ role but opened up for the group giving the crowd a true real DJ live performance which added to their show. NVS Styles was the 2004 Winter Music Conference Scratch DJ Champ & also the BET Spring Bling DJ Champ for 2006! Just Blaze was one of the 3 judges who all gave it to NVS as the winner! NVS appeared on BET's Rap City in August 2006 after that. NVS was also one of the official DJ's for the 2005 MTV VMA Pre & After Parties which included The So So Def official pre-party at The Versace Mansion which was sponsored by Boost Mobile. He has done a 4-turntable performance with the Miami Heat's own DJ Irie at the American Airlines Arena during halftime on January 2005. He has spun for P. Diddy 3 times in Miami, once for his first album release party in Miami in 97, then his b-day bash at Club Mansion in 05, & most recently in 07 @ Suite for memorial weekend. Many mansion style & high-class hotel private parties in Bal Harbor & South Beach thanks to Chris Weinberg of East Coast Events. NVS was also an instructor for the Miami Scratch DJ Academy. CAREER: NVS Styles has participated in many genres such as radio, television, concerts, events, & mixtapes. Besides appearing on MTV in 2007 performing with The Pack & twice on BET in 2006, before that NVS Styles has made a monthly guest appearance and also served as a host on occasions on The Roof, a national urban show on Mun2 (sister station Telemundo), which is a Urban Latino station broadcasting internationally. Also Styles has been interviewed by both Telemundo and Univison for he's role as an instructor at the Scratch DJ Academy and being Colombian. Known for his club appearances, events, studio work, album appearances and DJ battles, NVS has titled himself as The Most Versatile DJ for a reason. PROJECTS: NVS Styles has been involved in many projects and events. He has provided turntable scratches for artists such as Too Short ("Burn Rubber" produced by Lil Jon) & Trick Daddy feat. 2Pac ("Throwback/Old School"). Currently, Styles is also working on mixtape projects and is being interviewed for various websites & magazines. NVS is building a team of models and dancers called The NVS Girls.

Influences:

Background: NVS Styles was born and raised in NY, but he has resided and represented Miami more than half his life. He started collecting vinyls at the age of 11, he got his first deejay set-up on his 13th birthday, & at 17 entered & won his first battle. NVS Styles became interested in becoming a deejay by watching hip-hop videos of Eric B & Rakim, E.P.M.D., and Public Enemy. However, his big inspiration came from DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Premier, DJ Scratch, Q-Bert, and Craze who became a fellow DJ member in a DJ crew called Techmasters a few years back. NVS Styles also won numerous deejay battles such as 2006 BET Spring Bling, 2005 Guitar Center-Miami Winner, 2005 Nokia DJ Battle, and the 2004 Winter Music Conference DJ Battle, just to name the most recent. From his experience as a deejay, NVS Styles has learned the music industry first hand and has met various artists from different styles of music such as Hip-Hop, R&B, Reggae, and Rock.
