Michael Haskell, the raving mountain hippie. With a pair of LEDs and a well-trained ear, I flow with the music to create a psychedelic experience in any setting. I thoroughly enjoy the trippy combination of light and sound in modern raves. If any person is ever touched or inspired by my music, that brings me one step closer to my goal as an artist.
Influences
I study the work of many artsits, such as: DJ Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Robert Miles, Darude, Rush, Styx, Tenacious D, Queen, Boston, Enigma, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Rob Dougan, Frank Zappa, Nathan Profitt, Jethro Tull, Joka-D, and countless others. Mostly trance, classic rock, and other random things on the side. I like music that makes you forget time and place and transports you to a new reality, composed of sound and fantasy. It is within this reality that each note and chord played can send the mind on a number of adventures as one picks out and listens to whichever sound is most enthralling. When you perceive music this way, all music becomes influential and holds infinite possibilities for furthering the evolution of the most magical art.
Sounds Like
My taste and style constantly evolve and grow, so those who listen to my music are treated with variety. Picture a commune of hippies, tie-dye and all, dancing and partying with a group of candy ravers, and you're seeing my vision.
They call me Onglamesh, a name which, like myself, is unique and unheard-of. My favorite style of music is Trance, and with influence from many varieties of artists and styles, I create a form of electronic music for both the dancer and the thinker. I practice the art of the guitar, piano, and drums. As a composer, I aim to please all ears by blending diverse sounds and instruments together in a great electronic symphony.
I’m just stopping by to say “Thanks for being in my Circle of MySpace Friends”, and to hopefully make you smile today.
The Bathtub Test
During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the Director how do you determine whether or not a patient should be institutionalized.
"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub."
"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."
"No" said the Director, "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?"
ARE YOU GOING TO PASS THIS ON, OR DO YOU WANT THE BED NEXT TO MINE ?
Your presence is a present to the world. You’re unique and one of a kind. Your life can be what you want it to be. Take the days just one at a time. Count your blessings, not your troubles. You’ll make it through whatever comes along. Within you are so many answers. Understand, have courage, be strong. Don’t put limits on yourself. So many dreams are waiting to be realized. Decisions are too important to leave to chance. Reach for your peak, your goal, and your prize. Nothing wastes more energy than worrying. The longer one carries a problem, the heavier it gets. Don’t take things to seriously. Live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets. Remember that a little love goes a long way. Remember that a lot..... goes forever. Remember that friendship is a wise investment. Life’s treasures are people.... together. Realize that it’s never too late. Do ordinary things in an extraordinary way. Have health and hope and happiness. Take the time to wish upon a star.
Believe that I am a person who really does care about you, tho we have never met.
