I've been playing music since I was 11. I started on guitar, but pretty soon realized that upright bass fits me better. I got into music because of rockabilly, but over time discovered other styles like blues, swing, bop, bluegrass, baroque, classical, punk and especially different ethnic sounds from Balkan and Middle East that struck me really hard. I was lucky to play with some of the best musicians from Serbia. My main bands were Havana Whisper (neo swing, rockabilly), Marsya (Balkan), Shira Utfila (Middle Eastern) and Atomic Sunset (nu hot rodded rockabilly), but I played in many other local gypsy, jazz, blues and other type of music bands. I finished classical music conservatory and department for jazz, but always preferred playing with talented, energetic and charismatic musicians then polished classical nerds. Don't get me wrong, I love classical music! Often those guys (Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, Wagner...) had much more punk in their music then nowadays punks. I moved to US to play with more musicians that are raised with all that cool stuff that came from here. Here, I had luck to perform with some real legends like Scotty Moore band, DJ Fontana, Sonny Burgess, Joe Clay, Travis Wammack, Jody Williams, Billy Boy Arnold etc. Lately I play mostly with Deke Dickerson, Mitch Woods and other local jazz, latin, cajun and blues musicians. Recently, I started playing with the band Head Cat (featuring Lemmy from Motorhead and Slim Jim Phantom from Stray Cats) and great world music band Fishtank Ensemble. Even busier than ever, I'm always open for new interesting music projects!
I play Thomastik-Infeld strings and Planet Wing pickups exclusively.

I'll be in the Roma Fest May 2nd in Sebastopol, are you there too? Really enjoyed your energy and Fishtank the other night in Laguna! Looking forward to seeing you up in the Bay Area ~ p. "To be Flamenco is to have another skin, other passions, other desires. It is a different way of seeing the world, with music in one's nerves, a fierce pride, happiness mingled with tears; it is a loathing of routine and sameness; it is to be intoxicated in song, wine, and kisses. It is the translation of life into an art of caprices and freedom. " - Tomas Borras
