This might take a while. Being a DJ, I must say, DEEP HOUSE RULES!! I'll never forget the first time I saw M3 totally rock it! I'm a sucker for a phat bassline what can I say? I'm always down for some down tempo as well. It makes the mood right when you want to make the mood right. Being a drummer too though opens up a whole other world. NIN is my band! Love 'em. but at the same time I'm down for some great jazz. Primus, Rush, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Marilyn Manson, Blue Man Group, Tower of Power, Dave Weckl Band, I like it all!!
Movies
1st would have to be... The Big Labowski. "The dude abides". I think all those stoner movies are hilarious too. you know, Half Baked, Dazed and Confused, Harold and Kumar, Friday, the list goes on and on. Anything by Quentin Tarantino, Oliver Stone, George Lucas, or Tim Burton. Oh yeah, the Superman movies, the Naked Gun movies, Police Academy (just the first three), and the Rocky movies are cool.
Television
I really don't watch a lot of tv except for when my shows are on. The Simpson's, Family Guy, and South Park are the best reasons to have a tv. Then there's Smallville which I am a huge fan of. I love to watch soccer, any kind of hand to hand combat (K1, UFC, Pride, and boxing), and PBR. Yes, I love to watch bullriding. It's all about Little Yellow Jacket and Blueberry Wine! That's all as far as tv goes. I wish MTV would go away!!
Books
I think the last book I ever really read was a "Long Hard Road Out Of Hell" by Marilyn Manson. Just the other day I bought "Anguished English" by Richard Lederer. Absolutely hilarious!
Heroes
There are just far too many dj's to name but if they have a track out on any these labels, consider them my heroes: Doubledown, Lowdown, Drop, Om, Siesta, Bluem, Panhandle, Seasons, Green Gorilla, NRK, Viva, Aroma, Robsoul, Bonanza, Blockhead, Tango, Nightshift, Detour, Classic, Greyhound, Tweekin', Primal, that should cover most.
Drummers: Dave Weckl, he's the man who's been a huge source of inspirition for over 12 years. Vinnie Colaiuta, Buddy Rich, Steve Gadd, Virgil Donati, Marco Minnemann, David Garibaldi, Dennis Chambers, Thomas Lang, Neil Peart, and Fresno native, Shawn Glyde whose new cd is just sick! I can't leave out Trent Reznor. One of the greatest producers ever!

Steve Perez, aka p-rez, began his dj career in late 2000. With over 20 years of drumming experience, it didn't take him long to learn the ropes, define his sound, and build a following in his hometown of Fresno, CA. Since then, he's had residencies at local clubs where he's played alongside some giants in the genre including Mark Farina, Jeno, Jay Tripwire, M3, and Rick Preston, to name a few. He and his pal Rusty teamed up to form the production duo, Dos Banditos, and in 2006 had their first release on Fresno label, Le Poop Music. Now, p-rez maintains a rigorous schedule in the studio and in the booth. His party, Frisky, has been going strong for over 4 years, showcasing local Fresno talent, as well as some of house musics rising stars. As of late, he has taken the reigns as co-owner of San Francisco record label, NSF Records, where he is ready to take the label to new heights.
