Bio:

It was somewhen around 1997 when I started performing myself as a DJ Paul Hawk. Since that time an era of a long development, which every Dj must surely pass, has begun. The opportunity to play nearly in the entire South Moravia helps that, as well as an acquaintance with Sound 44 agency, which took a notice of me first and at a single blow I became a resident of. Thanks to this agency I had a lot of occasions to play more and more often both in the Czech republic and abroad as well alongside names such as Takaaki Itoh, Scan X, Inigo Kennedy, Toky aka Rumenige, Steve Bailey aka Makaton, Johannes Heil, Felipe, Dave Clark, Valentino Kanzyani, Marcus Störk, Miss Djaxx etc. Then appereances in radios - FM4 (Austria), RMI (Poland), Jih, Kiss Hády, Kiss Publikum followed etc. Sound and style were becoming naturally more individual and I was taking more and more experiences. These facts also influenced my own production which was reflected in a co-operation with the first Czech label TechEx in 2001. I shared in the realization as a producer. Now, there is a year 2010. Im a member of Chicago label Impact Mechanics as a dj and producer and Im also a member of Distorted Musik booking. Synonym of the word „djing“ for me is a tendency to handover a joy not only me but also to other people. A persons craft behind gramophones to pick up what people want to hear and handover them it in a form of a superior and also creative tracks choice and their individual, perfect technical presentation…I want the set to be a varied story which has its own beginning, finale and ending. ______________________________________________________________
Pod jménem Paul Hawk jsem začal vystupovat v roce 1997. Mám za sebou hraní jak v České republice, tak v zahraničí, po boku jmen jako např. Takaaki Itoh, Scan X, Inigo Kennedy, Toky, Steve Bailey aka Makaton, Johannes Heil, Felipe, Dave Clark, Valentino Kanzyani, Miss Djaxx a další. Absolvoval jsem rovněž vystoupení v rádiích FM4 (Rakousko), RMI (Polsko), Jih, Kiss Hády, Kiss Publikum ad. Počátky producentských aktivit vyústily ve spolupráci s prvním českým labelem TechEx, z níž vzešel vinyl TechEx 001, na jehož realizaci jsem se jako producent podílel. Nyní svou produkci vydávám jak na českých (Isis recordings, Naked records), tak zahraničních labelech (Impact Mechanics, Chicago), po boku mých oblíbených jmen (Mark Williams, Ryo Shimizu). Za synonymum pro slovo „djing“ považuji umění „psychologa“ za gramofony vycítit, co chtějí lidé slyšet a předat jim to v podobě kvalitního a zároveň kreativního výběru tracků a jejich osobitého, dokonalého technického podání… chci, aby byl set pestrým příběhem, který má svůj začátek, vrchol a konec. ______________________________________________________________
