Pele is back, this time in cooperation with Shokh aka Dave Shokh, Dipolder label owner and Kiddaz.fm ambassador. Pele’s last release “Childhood’s End” is one of Connaisseur most successful releases so far in 2007, with plenty of licensings for many important summer compilations. Thumbs was already released as a limited 250 copies white label release in February this year. Finally this great rumbling Techno track found its way to Connaisseur, to be presented to a bigger audience.
“Thumbs” is a squeaky, twittery and kickin minimal Techno track packed with a bunch of little astonishing moments. Already featured on Patrick Chardronnet’s Grand Cru mix, this is more than a perfect mixing tool: A stripped down minimal hymn, no redundant emotions, strictly rhythm – a quality ass-shaker!
Simon Baker – Leeds-based shooting star of 2007. After his amazing releases on Playhouse, Connaisseur, Viva and his own imprint Infant, he drops this massively bouncing Techno monster of a remix. Kind of chicagoesque, kind of daft and massively pushing – pure peaktime madness!
Pele - Mars Marijh (CONNAISSEUR COMPILATION Vol. 1)
available on 2x12" and Double CD.
Frankfurt label Connaisseur release a label compilation with a bonus mix from Patrick Chardronnet. ‘Grand Cru 2007’ arrives in June.
Connaisseur is a new label that kicked off in 2005 with one of the year’s most influential tracks, Patrick Chardronnet's ‘Eve By Day’. Since then they’ve concentrated on the melodic and atmospheric side of techno with releases from Ripperton, Daso and Rekleiner (Geddes and Audiofly). This year ‘Driven’ by Estroe on the label was a particular success, picked up by DJs across the board from Ellen Allien to Satoshi Tomiee.
‘Grand Cru’ is the label’s first CD compilation and features new tracks from Daso, Estroe, RA podcaster Ripperton as well as a bit of old school Detroit from Plasmik. Elsewhere there are new artists Pele (Childhood’s End is the label’s next 12”), Mark August and Kollektiv Turmstrasse.
The second CD is a label mix from Patrick Chardronnet, who has been concentrating on DJing rather than releasing tracks himself over the last year or so. Chardronnet’s mix features previously unreleased tracks from Ripperton, Daso & Pawas and Kollektiv Turmstrasse.

Pele - Childhood..s end (CONNAISSEUR SUPÉRIEUR 05)
inclusive Remix by Kollektiv Turmstrasse
Pele is our new maestro of sticky tunes. Once you have heard one of his tracks,
the melody won..t get out of your head. Pele lives in the countryside surrounding
the picturesque Bavarian town of Rosenheim, the city where the famous Electronica Act
Funkstörung also comes from.
Apart from his producer activities - he has already released on the label Dipolter and will
contribute a track for our upcoming compilation "GRAND CRU 2007" - he is an active Dj in the
bavarian and Austrian area, focused on expanding his sphere of action.
And of course we know he will quickly achieve his goal. "Childhoods End" is a massively bouncing
Detroit-influenced tune wi a dominating chord theme you will not orget. This track has a story:
When we received the first version almost one year ago, we already knew this could be a big one,
because of the wonderful chord theme. However, we weren..t completely convinced by the mix down.
The improvement of this tune became a mental trip for Pele. By producing his final version,
he acquired so many skills, that with this track he has left his fledging stages - which is why this
production is called Childhoods End.
Kollektiv Turmstrasse..s remix is - just like what we are used to by these two friendly northerners -
melodic, emotional and massively driving. In Germany, they themselves and their label "Musik gewinnt Freunde",
already have cult status, because of their fantastic music, impressive live sets and charming modesty.
As new members of the Connaisseur family, they introduce themselves with this brilliant remix, before they
hit the dancefloors with they contrbuting track on our compilation and their upcoming release on
Connaisseur this summer.

short press info:
pele & townston..s track "the who", starts off as a groovy stripped down beat track but develops more and more into a rhythm monster with very cool breaks and a few melodic sequences that add a soft clubby touch to the track. the b-side, "requiem for three cellos", is a mixture of cool drugged out beats and haunting sounds that remind us a bit of vapourspace aka mark gage’s "gravitional arch of 10".

Twenty-three-year-old newcomer Pele was born and still lives in the picturesque south Bavarian town of Rosenheim, incidentally the same city the famous act Funkstörung comes from.
Positive from the start that his place is to be found behind the decks, he spends several years DJing in and around Bavaria and Austria and co-hosting many parties in the region.
Two years after having bought his first production equipment at the age of twenty, his first single is released as a label-starter on Berlin based label Dipolter.
In 2006, apart from the growing number of international gigs and remix activities, he is offered a residency at Rosenheim’s first electronic music club “100 Quadrat”. His DJ sets, fluctuating between House and Techno, typically create a hypnotic flow using minimal sounds.
It is during this time, that he also starts work on his first release for Frankfurt’s well-respected label Connaisseur Recordings. His debut “Childhood’s End” on Connaisseur Supérieur (incl. remix by Kollektiv Turmstrasse) is released in April 2007 with massive support by international artists like Sven Väth, Satoshi Tomiie, Steve Bug and many more. “Childhood’s End” pays homage to the detroitish chords of the 90’s paired with modern sound structures of 2007.
Pele is currently featured on the first Connaisseur compilation “Grand Cru 2007? with his melodic groove monster “Mars Marijh”. The compilation is available both on vinyl and CD since spring.
As a new member of the Connaisseur family, he now takes part in the official Connaisseur club tour “Grand Cru 2007? and the “Connaisseur Label Nights”.
His follow-up track “Thumbs”, which was produced together with his friend and colleague Dave Shokh, will be released on Connaisseur Supérieur in late summer 2007.

DJ Andros is introducing his radio show, called "Musica Progressiva" on the internet radio station Liquid. FM. On every first Monday in the Month he will present DJ's playing Progressive and House Music. The next guest I am inviting the Norwegian DJ Mikkas and the Danish Lars B better known as Djuma Soundsystem. A couple of years ago, in the midst of all the etnic inspired cliche' Ibiza compilations and all the afro-house, Mikkas and Lars B sat down with Their friend Disse and asked themselves this question: is it not possible to make something less cheesy that still works on a floor? The result they came up with was "Les Djinns", and Djuma Soundsystem was born. "Les Djinns", the most sold track on Beatport ever...
