out now:
Pele - Toolbox 1 (Outils du Connaisseur)
With Toolbox 1 we present the first part of a series of mini-compilation on Outils du
Connaisseur. The parts will be released in irregular intervals and will always feature
three or four tracks, all of them delicious dancefloor food with a special twist, what
makes them perfect for our understanding of club tools.
Pele, Connaisseur regular and Bavarian hotshot, is the first contributor for the
selection. His Avery Dub is a simple but highly effective hip-shaker. A real
dancefloor allrounder!
Hardcore traveler and jack-of-all-trades Björn Wilke celebrates his Outils debut with
Rush, a strongly US-influenced ass-kickin House-stomper with a massive portion of
funk.
We continue with another Outils debut by Costa Rica’s best Kabuto & Koji, this time
teaming up with Sebb. The sun-blessed guys present Want You No More, a post
Disco-groover full of trippy sample work.
The weirdest composition on this release presents our good old friend Patrick
Chardronnet with the jazzy Take Another Ride. Responsible for the guitar
interludes is top studio musician Kai Portolano. A tune for those special moments!

out now:
Pele - El Condor EP (Supernature Recordings 012)
incl. Remix by Alex Niggemann
Supernature hasn't put a foot wrong since its inception back in late-2007 with a stream of fluid, percussive house releases hitting the spot for an army of high profile jocks. "El Condor" by Pele closes a great 2009 for the label and maintains the quality levels in fine style. With just a handful of original releases since 2005, mostly for the impeccable Connaisseur imprint, Patrick Gallenmüller aka Pele has managed to make a disproportionate impact on house music. His releases and remixes have seen massive support and a quick check on his myspace reveals a DJ diary of artists twice as prolific - a testament to the quality of his work (and his djing). The title cut of this three track/one remix EP sees the Bavarian producer present a track which combines the simplest of elements into a hynpotic yet memorable track.

Dear friends of sophisticated dance music. In order to celebrate our 25thcatalogue number, we proudly present a special split ep. The leitmotif of thisrelease is easy to comprehend – it’s “A Lesson In Drums”. This pack offers adouble a-side featuring two mesmerizing tracks for those special moments when music takes control over body and
soul.
Mutant Clan – Kenesai – Say hi the new project of Timo Maas and his italianproduction partners Sante Pucello aka Santos and Alessandro Salvatori. Timo’sfirst sign of life after a while is an impulsive drum affaire. An inexorablegroove combined with an excellent sample
work, cut-up vox and a subtle but catchy melody qualifies
this tune to a first class peaktimer pleaser.
Pele – Viva Belize – Our bavarian youngster Pele is back on
Connaisseur and presents his biggest tune so far.
Viva Belize is the extraordinary blend of a drifty tom tom groove,
rampant melodies and levitating vocal

“Pele” from south germany, his real name “Patrick Gallenmüller” makes hisself conspicuous with his peculiar charm, which is always aroung him. If it..s his craft as a dj, as a kind of clubwhisperer, who casts unobtrusive a spell over the crowd, who forces them gently to their luck and who let them dance through his sets, as if the world is a record store, well-assorted after his wishes.
It is a sliding from track to track, everyone given for the moment, every track fits and plays with the passion of the audience – a DJ who has a unbelieveble sense for his crowd and who carries his audience home with a big smile and a almost bigger questionmark: “What..s happening here?”
One thing is for sure, after a short time “Pele” has a lock on his crowd, a feeling for music and his audience, like no one else. That’s the main reason, why he..s a great talent and a exceptional in this panel, no matter if it..s on a bigroom rave, with a dynamic set oder playful, experimental session in a 150-men club. Pele knows how to deal with the public, like no other.
He travelled around the world, organised the “Echelon Openair” in south-east Bavaria, a lot of clubbings and he..s organising with his event agency “Organised Chaos” among other things the “Loveparade Club Tour 09”. He visited the hindmost nest in Romania, we went to all big cities around the globe, plus he plays next to worldleague DJ..s within the Sonar Festival. It..s impossible to count. Felt, group of a hundered clubs.
In his own productions, you can hear all these things, a passion, which let the polynesian drum sound, the feeling for groove and aesthetic, which is looking for its sort. Pelemusic is for sure very loveable music.
With 20 years he released on the Berliner Recordlabel “Dipolter Recordings” – “The Moment” his first single, one year later, he published “Childhoods End” on the Frankfurter Label “Connaisseur”, which got a clubhit over night and is across the genre on the decks from Sven Väth, Sasha & Digweed to Garnier. This is a track which always spins around and around.
After the big success from “Childhoods End”, more tracks get released on “Connaisseur”, amount other things a reduced tool called “thumbs”, which brings up a question, how DJs generally could work without this biting monster and this with his resident partner produced track “Requiem for three Jellos” on My best friend / Traum Schallplatten.
Internationally, Pele found big attraction on the split EP together with Timo Maas alias Mutant Clan, “Viva Belize” was released together with him. His feedback is a chorus of praise. The first indentation is a classic Tech-House number, but its delveloping to a statement to rhytmus. Dissolution in a 4/4 stroke, Peter Kruder called is “percussionmonster” and if you ask Laurent Garnier he will say “roundly superb”, it became to the fovourite track of Loco Dice. Here you can hear it again: the desire of the drums. It seems, that they are frightened hush, unheard.
“EL CONDOR” is the name of the follower from “Viva belize”, released on Audioflys Label Supernatural Recording (Home of Nick Curly, Alex Niggemann and many more). The invitation to dance was rarer more elegant and stylish. A litte bit rough, in a apparently crude brilliance, a xylophon resounds gently in the back, bable and then, the point when you have to admit that the groove got you.
With a delightful smile in their faces. Nothing forces you, but it..s palpable in the same room and abide the regard which it has to get.
At the ready for 2009 are more new tracks, which are waiting for their releasing party. With “Baba O” it will be a homage to the 70s, the next track on Connaisseur,Tanzbar and Dirt Crew Recordings are “Viva Maccarena” and “Neverending Story”, the drums get quieter than before, his sound therefore more hypnotic and determining.

Cosmicleaf is one of a new wave of labels from the global progressive and psy-trance underground that is reinventing dance music for the ambient zone beyond just stripping away the fast tempos. The global talent these labels are attracting is inspiring. Cosmicleaf releases have both darkness and light, familar genre sounds and strange new sounds, a mindset open to genuine variety and which understands “beautiful” is something profound, not cheesy or trite. The ambient spaces between electro, trance, rock and world fusion are fertile ones, and the richness here suggests a group of artists diving headlong into them with passion, open minds and impressive programming skills.
