PREMONITION pre mo ni tion (pr'm-nsh'n) 1. A presentiment of the future 2. A warning in advance
DJ PREMONITION dj pre mo ni tion (pr'm-nsh'n) n. 1. A music forecasting phenomenon 2. A party-starter bringing the hits to your ears before anyone else
An undergrad party staple, DJ Premonition has been moving crowds for years with his skilled mixing of hip-hop, reggae, and R&B. His blends of the hip, the hot, the old, and the new keep it crunk at clubs and events all along the east coast.
Born Cubie L. Coleman IV in Chicago, Ill., DJ Premonition got his start in music as DJ Comp pushing homemade mixtapes in high school halls. His foray into the mixtape world made way for his live DJ career, and after a year of practicing on his friends Gemini belt-drive turntables, he was ready to turn his practice into profit. Armed with his own DJ equipment, the budding party-starter renamed himself DJ Premonition because as he puts it, I know when shit is hot before it is.
From then on DJ Premonition began working campus events while attending Howard University and soon became the most requested DJ on campus, and one of the most well-known in the metro D.C. area doing club parties, private events, & campus parties at Georgetown University, George Washington University, & George Mason University in addition to his work at Howard.
DJ Premonition has DJ-ed at multiple events for Universities in D.C. and Maryland, including Howard Universitys nationally renowned Homecoming. He has performed before such music acts as Young Gunz, Trey Songz, Chris Brown, Grafh, Raheem Devaughn, Talib Kweli, as well as Capone N Noreaga. In 2005 DJ Premonition competed and placed in Sensory Overload, a university sponsored contest to crown the best DJ on campus. He has spun at many D.C. clubs including Palladium at Club Insomnia and DC Tunnel, Kilis Kaf.., Zanzibar on the Waterfront, Club 1919, Fur Nightclub, Home Nightclub, Daedalus Nightclub, Heritage Nightclub, Club Icon, Platinium Nightclub, Avenue Nightclub and Heaven at Club Up.

DJ Anonymous is ready to change the mixtape game on this latest installment of Hood Hits. "Barack of Da Block" takes things to a new level using its political influence blended with street politics to deliver a mixtape full of exclusive tracks and freestyles from the industry's best candidates and up and coming street politicians. Good Hood appears on the mixtape courtesy of Heavy Syndication, while Da Bloc's own LOS kills "A Millie." Young Buck and 50 Cent's debate gets rather heated, while Philly representer Meek Millz is ready to show everyone what he has in his bag. All-in-all, DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, and Young Jeezy let everyone know that you must be out here grindin' if you wanna be BARACK OF DA BLOCK!
