Just some of the hype Prone has been receiving recently from the UKs leading Hip Hop magazines and Radio Stations. With those kind of comments surely the music does the talking but as Prone has had over twenty three years in the game we must give you a little low-down______________________________________________________________
Since Prones humble beginnings creating cassette tape break loops back in 1983, he has witnessed many transformations and trends over the years in the Hip Hop scene.
B.Boy, Graff Artist, DJ and Producer Prone has always remained true to the game contributing to a scene which has been commercially misrepresented and exploited in recent years.
Those of you that frequent key underground Hip Hop events in the UK will be very familiar with the name PRONE. Every year Prone plays his residency at the legendary DEDBEAT WEEKENDER (which he helped to co-organise in its beginings) and the popular annual B.Boy / B.Girl competition BATTLE JAM.
PRONE employs traditional methods to create NEW music and hasnt fallen foul of weak drum machines and silky synths that sanitise much of todays RnB fused Hip Hop.
As an active club and radio DJ, Prone is very much in touch with what is happening now in the underground Hip Hop scene to which his contributions have been instrumental. In 1998 PRONE was penned as the man who discovered KILLA KELA (SONY / BMG), a then punter who later showcased at his legendary club night The Breaks and now tours the world.
In PRONES DJ Career he has been lucky enough to work with the likes of JURASSIC 5,BIG DADDY KANE, SOULS OF MISCHIEF,BRAND NUBIAN,
BIZ MARKIE, DOUGIE FRESH, PHARSYDE, TY, ROOTS MANUVA,COMPANY FLOW, SUGARHILL GANG, JERU THE DAMAJA, ROY AYERS, GWEN McCRAE, AMP FIDDLER, TOM BROWN and many many more.
PRONE presents his own weekly radio show "SCRATCH N SNIFF" on
www.globalfunkradio.com broadcasting 8-10pm (GMT) Thursdays. Recently PRONE also presented PRONES B.BOY DOCUMENT .. 101.4FM which has also been a huge success. In 2003 PRONE was asked to compile an old school breaks compilation for SECOND TO NONE records titled PRONE BREAKS VOLUME 1, this successful record is still selling in the shops providing a useful tool for Turtablists & Breaks DJS worldwide. http://www.secondtonone.com/pages/prone01.htm
PRONE has been producing music for many years now but until recently has kept it to himself as a very personal passion. As a producer and artist PRONE has been working with an array of vocalists and Emcees from the around the world..
This Transatlantic project features U.S emcees MR RATH of SUBKREW and PARADOXX (a.k.a SKILLZ FERGUSON) who has previously worked with none other than EDAN. PARADOXX and MR RATH were recently featured on Raw Flaw MCs-Steppin Up LP on Rough Acoustic Records.
PRONEs varied three track CD has been tried & tested in the clubs, radio and magazines, so far the results have been phenomenal.
Prones latest four track CD has already attracted major airplay on JUICE UK'S drive time show...
There is so much more to be written about PRONE and his impressive history, you can read his full profile and story at this website: www.breaksclub.com

I play my yearly residency as a B.Boy DJ at Battle Jam as a B.BOY DJ and take a variety of bookings all over the country as I dont do weekly residency anymore (done all that!!) ... and i'm really into doing all this radio stuff at the moment its boss
