Japan-born and San Diego raised Dj Psi Kick began his music career in 1995 as a mobile DJ in California. From 1998-2004 he has participated in over 20 DJ competitions. Some of the highlights from his battle DJ career include 1st place at the Harper's DJ Battle in 1998 (San Diego), top 8 of the Freestyle Session DJ Battle in 1998 (San Diego), top 4 at the UCSD HNIC Battle in 2001 (San Diego), and finalist at the 2001 DMC Regionals (Phoenix).
From 1997-1998 Dj Psi Kick was host and director of the underground hip hop college radio show "Distorted Frequencies" at KCR (San Diego State University) alongside residents, Dj H.O.P, Mike Naughty, Gamma Lite, and 10shun.
His scratch recording career includes the classic 12" inch/CD "Blastoff" Compilation, featuring such artists as Zion-I, Dream Sequence and Emanon (1998 Rocketship Records), providing scratching and production help for the track "Gigabits" by MC Rokon. In a following project they joined MC Dizzy order and DJ 10shun, forming the group "Unknown Entity", a Sci-Fi storytelling apocalyptic Hip Hop group. In 1999 they released a 12" inch/CD EP entitled "The Positive/Negative Effects EP" on Ackustix Musik.
Since coming to Japan in 2003, Dj Psi Kick has made two nationwide releases, "Kouten" (translation: Intersection Point), an abstract/ambient/scratch mix, and "MemoryStorm", an experimental hip hop & house instrumental album with Producer/DJ KOR-1 (a.k.a DJ Meutra). Performing as the unit MemoryStorm at various events around Japan from 2005-2009, they have performed at such venues as Daikanyama UNIT, Nishi-Azabu SPACE LAB YELLOW, Shibuya MODULE, and FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL alongside recording artists such as Sokabe Keiichi, Eccy, Bleubird, Zucchini Drive, Nomad, DJ KEN-ONE, DJ Duct, Hermitude, Palladium, Inner Science, DJ Kensei and many others.

DJ Meutra) と一緒に作った実験的なヒップホップ、ハウスのインストアルバム。2005-2009年まで日本の色んなイベント・クラブで出演して (代官山 UNIT, 西麻布 SPACE LAB YELLOW, 渋谷 MODULE, and FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL）僧我部 恵一、Eccy、Bleubird、Zucchini Drive、Nomad、DJ KEN-ONE、DJ Duct、Hermitude、Palladium、Inner Science、DJ Kenseiと共演した。
