   About - DJ RAFIK - DMC WORLD CHAMP 2007!!!


Im a 24 year old Dj/Turntablist/Producer/ Handsome Boi from Dusseldorf, Germany. Been on the music tip since i can think, my precious parents brought me up teaching me how to rock various instruments (thanks dawwwwgs).

Started to DJ back in 95 when I was a 13 year old hyperactive motherfucka. Rocked my first club with Eric D. Clark one year later and had somebody call the cops coz he thought that kid was being abused.

I got into turntablism in early 2000 after seeing dj hype from berlin do a show. knowing this is wut i wanna do do i started messing with my first routines, then i finally won my first battle attempt in 2001
Ive been doing pretty good at those dj-battles since then.
Turned out to be a 6 times Dj-World-Champion and 10 times national (or european) dj-champ. No one else in the history of Dj-Battles has ever held 6 world-titles.
most recent is the DMC WORLD CHAMPION TITLE 2007 which I produced alonside LE JAD from Dinan, France.

Im one quarter of the world famous Lordz Of Fitness Dj-Crew consisting of Kid Fresh, Rasgunyado, J-Bounce and myself. If im not wrong I think we got 14 world champion belts holding our pants up in total.

Im also a part of the "Cosmic Delivery" project, one of the worlds most revolutionary combinations between turntables and musical instruments. we have been doin live-improv for years now so we got that interaction thing down fo sure!

In 2004 I also joined forces with Dj Tigerstyle(UK) and Dj Pfel (world famous C2C crew) for the project EUROSTAR. We like to play mario kart, smoke, drink, watch dvd..s and do routines together - just how it should be done.

As a Club DJ, I mainly play club orientated hip hop, all kinds of electronica, a little rock, baltimore, baile funk, whatevers banging. BUT I can also lace a deep n soulful underground set that will tease your stoned eardrum, dont get it twisted.

I did shows all over the world, been to the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Dubai, United Kingdom, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Estonia, Switzerland, Netherlands, Austria, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden blablabla.

I shared stages, clubnights and festivals with the likes of Q-bert, J-Dilla, A-Trak, Craze, Talib Kweli, Slum Village, Ghostface, Klever, MED, Pendulum, Kid Koala, The Pharcyde, Pharaohe, D-Styles, Shortcut, Stones Throw Artists, Roni Size, Andy C, Scratch Perverts, and the list goes on and on.

Started makin beats in 03. Like to flip samples, old synths n instruments so it was the rightest thing to get some gear. I do shit between hip hop, soul n a lil house.. I like to scratch instruments inside the beets n add my little twist to it like that. but you aint even gonna kno, ha! ;]
