DJ Ravissa is one half of ADDICTION, and has a strong DJ and clubmusic background for over 10 years. Growing up in Vienna followed was dedicated to the rave scene as it mutated from underground to commercial music-entertainment. DJ Ravissa's main focus is to keep an eye on the next stage of electronic dance music. As a DJ she only plays for the dancefloor, with banging beats and pumping basslines. Ravissa's DJ rule is spinning phat tracks to push the screaming party-crowd, and to make you say "wow"!

DJ Ravissa, host from the Doorbitch- and co-host from addiction party series, producer, Radio
DJ and founder of the netlabel doorbitch.nu - not quiet a raw recruit to
Austrias electronic music scene.
Her musical roots are affected by Techno & House and she already has more than 10
years DJing experience.
Over the years her style has changed to the more breaky side of music
and she has become one of the leading representatives of Fidget House, Jackin Electro and
UK Garage-Dubstep in Austria.
Ravissa is most likely one of the best Club DJs Austria has to offer –
since she..s sixteen she is behind the wheels of steel and she
surprises her audience with her great bandwidth of styles: UK Garage,
Dubstep, Detroit Techno and Electro Breaks: Groove is her deep-rooted passion.
1998 she was playing on her first big event - the first
Female:Pressure Party at Flex which was initiated by Electric
Indigo. One year later she was already playing at the 'Jeff Mills
night'.
In 2003 she discovered her love for breaks – at least in 2006, during
one of the weekly nu skool break club session “Addiction” (2006) she
was totally swallowed by these beats.From her point of view "Tech Funk Breaks" are
the further development of the big Techno, House and Electro Styles,
which she combines with her unique, sharp-pitched technique into
unforgettable moments in music. She found and discovered all the basic sound elements
in this sub-genre of Techno – and this before
Techno was becoming part of our daily music consumption.
Since 2004 she is organizing in irregular intervals doorbitch events
in Vienna, with main focus on UK Garage, Grime, Dubstep und Breaks.
In winter 2006 she was invited – within the Bounce events at
Fluc_Wanne – to organize two events together with the viennese
breakdance/b-girl formation 'Notausgang'. After that a 'doorbitch
feat. female:pressure' event with Virgin Helena was initiated where
breaks in all different styles were presented - from techfunk to nu
skool. This magnificent event on the 8.4.2007 was the breakthrough
act for Viennas music scene and it was responsible to spark the
peoples interest in this new dancefloor music style.
In summer 2007 she organized a weekly Thursday-event-series named
'Doorbitch & Female:Pressure' at wuk, which was a mixture of different
styles and genres (Breaks, dubstep, Minimal, Techno, DrumandBass …)
with DJ-acts like Electric Indigo, Shroombab, Joyce Muniz, … and
liveacts from 55.rnd and Irradiation. Beside her event series at the
Camera Club (August and October) Ravissa brought Captain Koma one half
of the international known german export 'Boogie Army' to Addiction at
the Fluc_Wanne. One month later the 2^nd part of the formation,
Marten Hörger, played at her doorbitch event.
Beside her event-organizing activities she has become Addiction
promoter since 2006 and co-organizer since winter 2007 of the
Addiction event series. She is also known for giving lessons and
workshops all around music. Because of all her event activities in
2006 & 2007, she had less time for producing and developing new sounds
- but that..s the issue for 2008 , which will
influence for sure, Viennas dance and partyscene.

The release striclty features artists from Austria, showing the quality and
high potential of artists within the electronic music scene. “The Base” by label-owner Shroombab is starting with some nice bells and stompin’ beats,
but the real party starts when the deep sub-bassline drops in. “Are you ready?”, asks a voice and invites you to the dancefloor.
The second remix is provided by Ravissa, a female Austrian DJ & producer
that has devoted her life the the Viennese clubscene for more than ten
years. Her “Mosquito Remix” combines her own different influences of the
electronic music scene with a strong affiliation to techno. The 4/4 beats are
dominated by a strong kick and are complemented by a fithly synth that is
heavily modulated and never stays the same. If you like techno, you will
move your ass to this!
