Ray Caputo is one of the top open format DJ's in the northeastern United States. His thoughtful programming, precision blends, and alluring scratches have entertained celebrities, professional athletes, local and national business leaders, government officials, and students of all ages.

Ray got his DJ career started as an intern at WJPZ (Z-89) back in the day, when the station was a nationally recognized powerhouse programming cutting edge Hip-Hop music yet to hit the mainstream. In 1998, he bounced down to the number-one party school in the country, Florida State University, to attend college and continue his DJ education, which he had plenty of opportunity to do being affiliated with one of the top social organizations on campus, the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. While at FSU, Ray performed regularly at every major club in town, and, on numerous occasions, played for crowds estimated to be in the thousands.

In 2001, Ray came home to the community he was raised in to be closer to his family and friends. Since, he has kept himself busy with residencies at some of the most popular nightclubs in Syracuse, Rochester, and Buffalo, including his present gig at The Lava Nightclub at The Turning Stone Casino. He also recently completed his second master’s degree in Media Studies from Syracuse University’s coveted Newhouse School of Public Communication. You can presently catch him mixing live every Monday and Wednesday on the 5:00 O’clock Traffic Jam on WWHT Hot 107.9.

I go back every few months to see family :) Def- I love music, dancin, and havin fun. At one point I wanted to DJ cause there is a DJ school out here in AZ. your a great DJ keep makin the beats.... seriously
