Sounds Like
The creative process is usually started by firing up Virtual DJ, I then spend hours on end listening to out-of-tune vocals trying to find a harmonious combination. Eventually I load the samples into Ableton and sit in a dark room for as long as it takes, anything from under an hour to up to a week or two (or until the power runs out)...
The general aim is to make a new song out of two or more old ones (ideally better than either of the originals!) Half the fun is not knowing what the next one will sound like and some of them might not quite work but you get the general idea, normal musical rules don't apply here... so vocalists, please send me some acapellas!
