Electronic dance music of all sorts, but anything with percussion is especially my thing. Tribal, funkin' house and weird synths that take you someplace else. That concept of losing yourself in the music is what it's always been for me when I'm out - not running away from anything, but running into the music because you must. About me:
Rob is a Melbourne-based DJ playing tribal / progressive / underground house. .. When Rob plays, he plays to get the hips grinding, and the darker the room, the darker the music. Think percussive, twisted, dirty house, distorted vocals and filthy bass. Rob has been playing for over seven years to a variety of crowds in Melbourne and Sydney and most recently in Singapore. Rob is best known for his residency in Melbourne at Beyond where Rob plays six hour sets taking the crowd on journeys from deep and minimal house through tribal rhythms and dirty classics. Beyond is Australia's leading leather & festish party and Rob has played at Beyond since its inception in 2000. Rob is also known for his residency at Dirty at Phoenix (Sydney) and extra Dirty. Sydney's best monthly underground club night. .. .. In fact, Rob has carved a niche in the leather and fetish community where he has residencies at Dirty at Phoenix (including back to back sets with DJ Mandy Rollins) and Indulgence at the Midnight Shift. Rob has also played: .. Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras 2006 and 2009 .. Sleaze Ball 2006 (back to back with DJ Sveta). ..
