Rob Warner - DJ, producer and A&R
bio...Rob began DJing in the early 90s after a few of years collecting records and having become addicted to dark rooms and loud music. His early influences slanted towards the American garage/house sounds of Blaze, Ten City, Steve 'Silk' Hurley etc and later Tribal America, Sex Trax, Strictly Rhythm etc - mixed with European artists/labels like Eon, Leftfield, Njoi, Guerilla Recs etc. Over 16 years later the music has changed but the vibe has stayed the same - deep, bumping, twisted music for the dance floor. Future Garage for short!
Rob's DJing style reflects his diverse influences and a famous passion for finding dark, strange and sexy bombs which aren't being thrashed by everyone else. His sets are futuristic but still have a classic vibe, and always aimed at the dance floor.
"When I DJ I like to mix things up - from deep house to garage to tribal to futuristic tech-house and funky techno - mixing the funky with the dark, the mellow with the driving."
Rob has performed at hundreds of events and been resident DJ at the most celebrated clubs in New Zealand since the early 1990s - The Box, Redzone, Calibre and Crowbar.
