    Bei Rocco handelt es sich um Sven Gruhnwald, einem Dj und Produzent aus Norddeutschland (Schleswig Holstein). Als Resident Dj Sven-r-g in einer großen norddeutschen Diskothek kann er auf langjährige Erfahrung zurückgreifen. Nach ersten Veröffentlichungen bei EDM, Kontor, Overdose und Vision Soundcarriers kam er 2000 zu Aqualoop Records. Hier wurde von ihm das Projekt Rocco ins Leben gerufen. Gleich die erste Veröffentlichung „back in town again“ galt schon nach kurzer Zeit als Clubhit in ganz Deutschland. Mit der zweiten Single „everybody“ als Rocco sowie unter seinem anderen Pseudonym Sven-r-g schaffte er den internationale Durchbruch. Nicht nur das „everybody“ in allen relevanten Dancecharts die Top Ten erreichte, die Single schaffte es auch mit über 130.000 verkauften CDs bis auf Platz 9 der deutschen Single Charts. Die Single „everybody“ wurde zudem auch in Österreich, der Schweiz, den Benelux Ländern, Franreich, Spanien, Italien, Ungarn, Polen, Skandinavien, Japan, Taiwan, den USA und Kanada veröffentlicht. Im Jahre 2002 konnte Rocco mit „drop the bass“ einen weiteren Top Hit in den offiziellen MediaControl Charts landen. Die nachfolgende Single „Generation of Love“ war nicht minder erfolgreich, so dass Rocco hierzu in Deutschland mit einem Auftritt bei „the dome“ belohnt wurde. Nach wie vor ist Rocco mit über 400 Eigenproduktion sowie Produktionen für bekannte Djs und Künstler einer der gefragtesten Produzenten des Genres. Rocco ist als Dj regelmäßig auf internationalen Bühnen, Clubs und Festivals anzutreffen. Zusammen mit seinem Studiopartner Sebastian Göckede gründete er 2008 das Plattenfirma mit Namen „Planet Punk Music“ sowie die Sublabels: High Five, PunQ und Big Blind.

    ROCCO aka SVEN-R-G started his career as resident-dj ten years ago at the largest club in the north of germany ;the "ziegelei"located just a few miles away from the gates of hamburg. When he started his own productions his first projects were released by labels like edm and kontor but his career as producer really started off when he teamed up with partner BASS-T and slobodan petrovic aka PULSEDRIVER for the just founded aqualoop records label at the beginning of the year 2000. his first release under the new found name ROCCO was BACK IN TOWN AGAIN which entered the dancecharts and filled the dancefloors of germany. soon after , the second ROCCO;"EVERYBODY" was released and stormed the german sales charts to peak in march 2002 at pos. :9 with 130.000 sales alone in germany and austria. this was the start for the international career of the now 27 years old with releases in nearly every country like japan,canada,australia,taiwan, france,spain ,italy, scandinavia ,eastern europe and so on... but not alone with his other productions like for the spanish star dj, ABEL RAMOS from barcelona, which entered the music week uk dance charts and under his other name SVEN-R-G he succeed on the dancefloors and in the charts but now his skills as remixer were asked for the likes of MARK 'OH,GROOVE COVERAGE,DRUNKEN MUNKY and many more. in the meantime ROCCO finished his residency after ten years to play only one saturday per month at his former club to find time to follow the demands of clubs all over germany and in austria,spain and the netherlands. when "DROP THE BASS" the third ROCCO output were released on 12" some weeks ago it rushed into the german dance charts to reach finally pos. 5 without even any promotional mailout to any dj... soon after that DROP THE BASS peaked in all german dance charts like odc,gdp,dmc etc on the first position. two weeks ago DROP THE BASS enterd the single sales charts at a very healthy pos. 18 as third highest entry after the new releases of madonna and phil collins and at present time it looks like the third week in the top twenty . The forth single “generation of love” has to entered the german sale charst on peak postion 24
