MY LIFE AS A DJ.....
Dj Roo 11 years on Wkdu 91.7 fm, Drexel University's student run radio, although i graduated some time ago (1998) I continue to bring the beats to the city of brotherly love. My style is trance/progressive/break beats. For the summer my show will move to TUESDAYS 9AM-NOON. www.wkdu.org
MY LIFE AS AN ARTIST...
For as long as i can remember I have been making art. Taking photographs, creating mixeed media shadow boxes (think Joesph Cornell) and creating collages. Some of my inspirations are Frida Kahlo, Andy Warhol, Mary Blair, Cindy Sherman, Nan Goldin, Claudine Hellmuth just to name a few... I summer in upstate New York in Moravia and work with the Oiseaux Sisters. MY LIFE AS A TEACHER....
I have been teaching art for 6 years, the past three at Philadelphia Electriclal and Technology Charter High School,(say that 3 times fast) in center city. I love my job and my students. They are my greatest teachers and inspire me daily to look beyond and think more....... and be more....
