Ross Lara is a versatile producer-songwriter and DJ and has been making music since the early stages of this century. Primarily a DJ in his earlier years, he played for thousands in the Long Beach Convention Center and performed his live ‘remix dj-sets’ extensively across the Mid-West and East Coast. Ross flawlessly mixed motivational speakers in dance music, catching the ear of theBarack Obama campaign. May of 07’, Ross opened for the Presidential elect at H20 Nightclub in the Nations Capitol, with Barack in attendance. Shortly after, Ross became a usual suspect in his hometown DC. He played with fellow producer and friend, Delphi , opening for top DJ’s Paul van Dyk , BT , and James Zabiela . Ross worked extensively for the “Turn the Tables” campaign sponsored by the National Wildlife Federation, sending him Miami bound to open forJohn B at the Winter Music Conference.
Fall of 07’, Ross flourished in the studio, working exclusively with MC Wolfberg . In short time, entertainment company BLURi showcased them spawning thousands of listeners. Wolfberg would later appear on Ross’ debut album “Beats & Cookies,” an epic, musical journey of his best work composed of chill out, pop, and dance music.
In 2008, Ross and his cousin Stephen Coleman teamed up to form their electronic dance group SECTR 24 . Hence their family connection, Ross and Stephen’s creativity clicked immediately, forming priceless opportunities to write songs for artists on Interscope Records and seasoned professionals in the pop and dance world. Winter of 08’, they signed with DC based label, Metronix Recordings, and look forward to many successful releases.
Ross now lives in Orlando, FL where he is attending Full Sail University in the Recording Art’s program. He and Stephen are working on their SECTR 24 debut EP set for release in January 2009. Buckle up!
