The dance floors I get to see way to often, amazing live music, cool days in spring & fall, people who dance to anything, smiles, jamiroquai, beastie boys, tribe called quest, pharcyde, digable planets, stone roses, mark firina, dimitri from paris, pocket dwellers, any independent or newly major touring canadian bands, cold play, blackalicious and i have a weird facination with anything Richard Ashcroft, the strobe light on tech12's, dust from record stores, electro break dance music, any hiphop from 1979-89...the list can go on and on.....
RPG's (Record Playing Grant - aka wyldefingers, gpaley) fun loving and unique DJ style has been rocking parties and clubs for the great people of Canada with his entertaining mix of funk, house, 80's and hip hop for over seven years. His love for good times and good people is seen through his dedication and enthusiasm for the local and national music scenes.
RPG is best known all over Canada for his work with Canada's very own Moses Mayes, who've played well over 400 shows since there inception in 1999. The band won the 2001 Prairie Music Awards for Best Urban/Dance Recording, was again nominated in 2005 for the Western Canadian Music Award for Best Instrumental Album 'Needle to the Groove and won a WCMA for Best Instrumental for thier latest release 'Second Ring'. With their blistering live show and indie success albums, Moses Mayes has easily become one of Canada's most exciting dance funkfusion collectives. Moses released a new record 'Second Ring' that broke the campus top20 charts, received national and international acclaim and resulted in 3 national tours and appearances at the Montreal Jazz Festival, Vancouver International Jazz Festival and 10,000 Lakes

RPG has had the pleasure of the sharing the stage with legends Herbie Hancock & James Brown and other amazing acts like Herbie Hancock, James Brown, Antibalas, the Pocket Dwellers, Champion & his G-Strings, Kid Koala, Ivana Santilli and the New Deal...and yes, he's played every show like it was his last.
