Funky, Groovy House music with minimal, techno, and latin influences
Born in Miami and raised by the South Beach nightlife, house music was always in Santiago Caballero's life, but it wasn't until his brother made him a compilation CD featuring a variety of house, techno, and trance, that he truly fell in love with it. After listening to house music for a few years, he saw Carl Cox at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. It was a revelation, and the very next day he borrowed his friends turntables and never looked back.
After years of playing gigs, he has now played in some of the biggest clubs around the world in Miami, New York, Cartagena, Bogota, and Boston, his current home. He has also played the notorious Technique parties hosted by Pirate Stereo as well as the Winter Music Conference in
Miami. With multiple appearances lined up for the Winter Music Conference in 2010, and new tracks and mixes constantly in the works, look out for him and his infectious grooves in the new year.

Los Angeles, CA – Need of Expression has announced it is currently working with A&R Select, the world's premier A&R firm, based out of Los Angeles, CA. The group's Latin-influenced style of hip-hop and R&B steps up the rap ante a notch, delivering spicy grooves, sharp lyrical content and striking verbal action. Need of Expression's music combines the staples of contemporary hip-hop hook with Latin melodies and R&B smoothness to create music that fuses rap with a dash of the sultry. The pair of artists behind Need of Expression are Maze and Maggie, the he-and-she duo that's bringing new flair to the hip-hop scene. Hailing from Brooklyn, the pair's pursuit of music is also a pursuit of peace and passion through self-expression – hence the name of the duo's project. "Music is our chance to say our story," says Maggie. "It takes persistence, strength, determination and ambition to become one with a sound that intrigues you." And one that intrigues others. Fortunately, Maze and Maggie have all that and have succeeded in crafting rap music that does resonate with both artist and listener. Need of Expression is the duo's method of bringing positive vibes to listeners – using a genre not always noted for its positivity. "We use music as a positive outlet to vent and say whatever we want – and let go," says Maggie. Together, the pair pours the inspirations drawn from home life, day-to-day struggles, diverse artistic influences and more into the making of Need of Expression's original take on hip-hop. These are two talented, hard-working individuals working to express themselves and make a living for loved ones in the process. The pair has been busy with collaborations and remixes recently and a sophomore album is slated for release in June 2009.
