About me: first let me start by saying yes this is DJ SAZAM the one and only if there is another you know he is a phoney!!!
LOL i always wanted to say that :)
i started djing back in april of 1983 when i bought my first pair of brand new technics turntables with stanton 500al needles @ GOLA ELECTRONICS, i had a used gemini mixer with the wooden sides, but quickly saved up to buy a brand new numark mixer, i still owned a numark mixer today :)
yup i was getting into the dj fad way back in the early 80's
my early inspirations were DISCO FEVER, DISCO RAT, SEX MACHINE, POWER HOUSE, UNIVERSAL SOUNDS, BASE BROTHERS, PHASE 3, GRAND WIZZARD JOHN, GRAND WIZZARD THEODORE, GRAND MASTER FLASH...
and with that said me and my younger brother kerk devolope our own dj crew named "THE COLD CRUSH BOYZ" along with mc d-slay and mc besko....
we were one of the most sought after dj crews in north philly and surrounding areas we had a nice tight sound system, being with my wits i quickly stepped up from the GEMSOUND speakers and the stereo intergrated amps
to CERWIN VEGA,ELECTRO VOICE,JBL, ALTEC LANSING,CROWN AMPLIFIERS AND THEN QSC AMPS, yea we most def made a difference @ your sweet 16, graduation, prom, catholic youth group parties, block parties, yeaa peeps were not used to seeing this kinda concert grade equipment they were still used to seeing so many djs using the GEM SOUNDS, PVS, OR THE OLDER BULL FROGS,EARTH speakers. yea after much wasted money and a few blown speakers i learn really quick what kinda investment i had to make if i wanted to run with the big boys....
