DJ Scene is a part of Deckstar along with DJ AM, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Steve Aoki and handful of other accomplished tastemakers. No stranger to rocking with the best, DJ Scene has also shared stages with the likes of 50 Cent, Ludacris, Common, Rakim, Nas, De La Soul, The Roots, Method Man, Sir Mix-A-Lot and countless others.
Aside from his live performances, DJ Scene currently has a weekly radio show that airs Saturdays on WiLD 94.9 FM in San Francisco. Originally from Seattle, he mixed 5 days a week live on KUBE 93.3 FM, while still prerecording for XM Satellite Radio 5 days a week. Scene has also reached plenty of ears through Myspace where his 150,000+ friends have accounted for over 1.5 million plays of his exclusive remixes and live recordings.
Even before radio and clubs, DJ Scene made a name for himself in the DJ battle circuit. He was the 2002 Northwest DMC Champion and went on to become a finalist in the US competition. Around the same time, he helped lay the foundation for one of Seattle’s most legendary club nights, Yo Son!, which Rolling Stone named one of the country’s top parties. Before moving to San Francisco and Las Vegas, Scene also established a new brand for a weekly club night with 2080s. He has released 2080s parts 1 and 2 on CD which remixes, blends and scratches 80’s with current sounds of today.
