Manuel “Branco” Branquinho e Diogo “XS” Garcia uma mistura que prima pela diferença, pela fuga aos caminhos e aos sons mais comuns da música, adoptando como estilo o techno minimal. Uma dupla que tem como patente do seu som um perfeccionismo extremo na mistura e uma preocupação constante com a envolvência gerada pelo som que criam, que passam e que agora se estreiam a produzir.
Cedo começaram a inteirar-se do panorama electrónico. “Branco” em muito marcado pelos Pink Floyd - pioneiros na sua época de sons menos convencionais e arranjos puramente electrónicos - e “XS” que logo no boom do techno em Portugal começou a pensar na música como electrónica, apenas. Diogo, “XS”, lançou-se cedo nas andanças do djing. Desde há oito anos que tem vindo a acumular experiência em algumas casas como o Alabastro, em Albufeira, e o Green Hill, na Foz do Arelho.
As diferentes influências mas a paixão comum pelo som juntaram-nos na noite em 2004 ditando assim o início dos Deep Soul. Profundamente marcados pelas misturas daquele que ambos consideram o seu guru, o mestre Ali “Dubfire” Shirazinia, e pela cena electrónica alemã, os Deep Soul estreiam-se em 2005 como residentes no The Office Club, nas Caldas da Rainha. A recepção foi calorosa. Daí até à passagem por outras casas foi um instante. A cada nova actuação, aviva-se o motivo pelo qual estão nesta área. Realmente, o que lhes dá o maior dos gozos é, como referem, “sentir um feedback positivo por parte do público, esta é a maior recompensa do nosso trabalho. Quanto mais eles vibrarem, mais iremos elevar a fasquia e criar coisas novas”.
Acompanhando a par e passo as novidades do panorama musical e da tecnologia que o acompanha, a dupla passa longas horas no seu “bunker”: um retiro repleto de high-tech onde, juntos, se lançam nas misturas e na procura de novas sonoridades. A necessidade de levar as suas produções a outros patamares levou “Branco” a tirar o primeiro curso de LogicPro em Portugal, certificado pela Apple e leccionado pelo editor de estúdio do DJ Vibe, Henri Sanrame.
Actualmente são residentes no Flux Club, nas Caldas da Rainha mas vão, com certeza, marcar presença em várias noites e eventos pelo país fora. Fica uma promessa, uma energia contagiante em cada uma das actuações e uma boa dose de alma em cada uma das criações.

Manuel “Branco” Branquinho and Diogo “XS” Garcia are the dual of djs and producers Deep Soul. A dual whose patent is an extreme perfectionism in their mixtures and a constant awareness with the surrounding generated by their sounds which are mainly techno minimal.
Soon both started to be in touch with the electronic context. “Branco” very much influenced by Pink Floyd – pioners of less convencional sounds and electronic arranjments. “XS” as soon as techno bursted in Portugal started to think of electronic music only. Diogo, “XS”, started djing very soon. In the last 8 years he as been gaining experirence in some famous houses like the Alabastro, in the Algarve, and Green Hill in Foz do Arelho.
Different influences but the same passion for the electronic sounds gathered them in 2004, the Deep Soul dual was born. Highly influenced by the man they consider their guru Ali “Dubfire” Shirazinia and by the german electronic scene, Deep Soul started their residency at the Office Club in Caldas da Rainha back in 2005. The reception was warmful. Since that they have been playing in several places. Every new performance stands out the reason why they do this: “to feel a positive feedback from the audience is the greatest reward for our work. The more the audience cheers us the more we will take on this task of creating new and improved sounds”.
Always keeping up with the newest technologies, tecniques and new releases, they spend long hours in their bunker: a retire full of high-tech where they create mixtures and search for new sounds to include in their creations. “Branco” took on the first LogicPro course certificated by Apple in Portugal, because there is much to keep up with in this area.
Nowadays they have their residency at the Flux Club in Caldas da Rainha but they will take on several appearances in many nights and events throughout thew country always with loads of energy in their performances and a good amount of soul in every single one of their creations. Stay tuned!
