Now that summer is officially over it makes you wonder if we ever actually had one in the UK!? I’m still hoping for an Indian Summer, which takes me seamlessly onto the said called single that Huggy & Dean Newton released on Big Love around this time last year. It was hugely popular on Beatport and with DJs like Steve Angello, Tiesto and ATFC so we brought in Sam Obernik to add her unmistakable voice and she came up with “Get Lifted (Indian Summer)” which is out now as an exclusive on Beatport www.traxsource.com with a vocal edit from myself and hot new mixes by Thomas Gold, Hagenaar & Albrecht and We Are Eyesight.
On our more underground label Big Love Digital we have the follow up single to “Deliver Me” by Paul Harris feat Cevin called “Losing my Mind” with some great mixes by Paul Harris, David Tort & Egostereo and you can find it on itunes, Beatport, Traxsourcee, DJ Download etc now!

You may have noticed I’m still busy with the remixes. Most recently myself and Paul Emanuel remixed Mariah Carey’s “Obsession” and The Dream feat Kanye West “Walking on the Moon” for Def Jam in America. I also remixed “Will You Be There” by Mimo for Mute and I’m working on Mika’s new single “Rain”
Mark Knight & Funkagenda’s “Good Times” was number 1 on Beatport and has had full support from DJs right across the board. I was asked to do a remix for them but I ended up recording and covering the whole of the original Chic song and coming up with a new backing track so we’ve decided to treat it as a collaboration. Look out for Seamus Haji vs Mark Knight & Funkagenda “Good Times” forthcoming on Toolroom Records.
My collaboration with Kaskade feat Hayley “So Far Away” has finally been signed to Ultra in America and Kaskade is working on his mix so hopefully it should be coming soon and there’s also a hot Out of Office remix of our Haji & Emanuel single “Take Me Away” coming on soon on Big Love too.Paul Emanuel and myself have been working on the music for another TV campaign for UEFA called “Respect” and we are also working on the next Women’s EURO campaign. It’s great to be creative in different forms of media.
I was fortunate enough to make it over to some warmer destinations over the Summer, namely Ibiza of course and I had some great fun playing for Kiss Da Funk at Eden and Fierce Angel at El Divino. I also had some fantastic times playing in Siberia, Ukraine, Russia, Athens, Egypt and Norway. Closer to home some stand out gigs that I have to mention would be GLAS at The Rainbow in Birmingham. The promoters behind GLAS (meaning Gay, Lesbian and straight) know what they’re doing as they’ve only been running for just over a year and a half and they have a fantastic mixed and open-minded crowd. I played alongside some nice familiar faces I haven’t seen for a while (local heroes Kiddo and Micky Slim) to over 3000 people at the all day event and it has restored my faith in UK clubbing! Another great night I played at was for Licked who celebrated their 2nd birthday at The Whitehouse in London. It’s run by the very enthusiastic DJ/Promoter Jason Chance (he’s got a debut single out on Roger Sanchez’s Stealth label at the moment called “The Beginning”) and he’s also got a very up for it crowd so I had a blast!
I recently compiled and mixed Vol 10 of the Bacardi B-Live series which is released by MOS in Germany which is out now. So I’m doing a mini-tour in Germany which I’m looking forward to. I’ll also be doing some more Big Love nights over at Thompsons in Belfast, I’m playing for MN2S at their party during the Amsterdam Dance Event and back in the UK you can catch me in London at The Den (formerly known as The End) and in Ashford for Kiss Da Funk for their Special Halloween Party.
