I've grown up in the Boulder/Denver area. Had a lot of dreams and a lot of goals when I was young, but it all slipped into focus when I heard Prodigy in 1998. Music for the Jilted Generation. I knew that was where I wanted to be.
I attended the University of Colorado at Denver for audio engineering, graduated with my bachelors at the end of 2003. Did a lot of good studies and internships, including study abroad and recording in Sweden at the Lulea University of Technology, Pitea School of Music. I've acquired a tremendous amount of knowledge and skills.
And here we are, seven years after I bought my first decks. Finally living the dream. Not as glamorous as one might like, but all the freedom and creativity I could want. We have started our label, Lunar Eclipse Recordings, and it continues to develop. In fact, we are very proud to announce that Lunar Eclipse Recordings is in operation! Our first items are up and on sale! T-shirts, MP3s, DJ Exigents "Corrosive / Intoxicating" single on transparent blue vinyl, and Exigents second single, "Orchids / Alterna Dies (Another Day)" are available. A little about the photos!
Many of the photos on my page are our own or just friends shooting at different things. But the ones marked by Erin Hooley are of particular note. A good friend of ours, and an excellent photographer, we have done some shots with her lately. They've come out fantastically. A little about the tracks playing!
Indulgences is my 2005 demo disc. It is split for better MP3 coding, and therefore a better listening experience. This mix is not up for sale, is not intended for sale. I make no money from it, it is a demonstration of my taste in music and my skill as a DJ. If you own the rights to one or more of these songs, and wish me to remove them from this page, please write me and I will do so. I want people to hear both of us, but I don't want to step on any toes.
Leila is a Santa Fe-based vocalist and dancer and dear friend of mine. In October 2005 Leila and I finished the recording and production of her demo, just before she left to help Melissa Michaels with movement and music therapy in New Zealand. Showcased in the listening bin is our collaborative portion, San Gabriel. Leila adapted the vocals from Federico Garcia Lorca's poem of the same name, while I adapted her original arrangement into a full electronic production. All rights reserved, August 2005.
