10代の頃よりバンドでベースを担当し、東京都内のライブハウスで活動をつづける中、
エレクトロニックミュージックとの出会いが衝撃となりDJ活動を開始。
その後、東京のダンスミュージックシーンに深く傾倒していくこととなる。
屋内、野外とその活躍の場を広げていく最中２００１年自身のPARTY“OCTAGON”を始動。
音楽だけでなくファインアートの芸術家やデザイナーなどとも交流を持ち独自のPARTY感を伝えてきた。
現在では渋谷WOMB１Fにあるobi loungeに場所を移し、定期的にPARTYを開催し、
多くのクラウドを集め、ダンスミュージックの面白さを伝える事に成功している。
近年、国内で活躍するアーティストにこだわった野外RAVE “The garden”のオーガナイズにも着手し、
そのシーンの持つ可能性を余すことなく伝えている。
そんな彼のプレイスタイルは広義の意味でのハウスミュージックである。
独自の感性で解釈したミックススタイルの安定感とストーリー性が特に周囲のDJから支持されている。
小箱やバーなどでの地道な活動が認められ、シーンの中堅としてそのポジションを確立することに成功し、都内有数のクラブであるWOMB,YELLOE,AIR,ageHaなどにも進出を果たしている。
これまでにMARCUS(MINILOGUE),DOMINIK EURBERG(TRAUM),Randall Jones(mynt music),Ko Kimuraなどのトップアーティストとの共演も経験。今後の飛躍に期待がかかるDJである。
Sho-hey is one of the most popular DJs around Tokyo. In his youth, he was a bass player and performed in various live houses in the city. After his live music career, he gained interest in electronic music and started out as a DJ in the electro scene. Since then, he has played in several Tokyo clubs andoutside parties. He has also started his own party called [Octagon] , which has been gaining popularity since its foundation in 2001.
The Octagon party is an original kind of event which creates an exhange between fineart musicians and designers. The venue for the parties has changed to the Obi lounge on the 1st floor in the infamous club WOMB in Shibuya and takes place once every two months. The Ocatagon party has sucessfully brought together original artists and real lovers of dance music. Recently, Sho-Hey has formed [the Garden] organization. One of the goals of the organization is to bring in local Djs from Japan to promote the dance music scene from within the Japanese society.
Sho-Hey..s DJ style represents his wide range of house music, original mixes and inteligent combination of music that creates an underlying story understood by Djs and other artists. Sho-Hey has had a constant music career in Japan and continues to play in famous clubs like WOMB, YELLOW, AIR, ageHa, and collaborates with top artists such as MARCUS(MINILOGUE), DOMINIK EURBERG (TRAUM), Randall Jones(mynt music), and Ko Kimura. Sho-Hey remains as the backbone of the dance music scene in Tokyo.
