Sick Sinus has started djing in 1996 in Münster in Westfalia, where music people like Westbam, the H-Blockx, Erobique, Dr. Ring-Ding, Tanita Tikaram, Alphaville, Götz Alsmann and Dune come from.
He always was interested in heavy basslines and special beats. So it was obvious that he played Drum'n'Bass, Big Beats and UK Garage in the first years.
Meanwhile he studied a lot about the roots of electronic dance music, specially about the caribean influences on dj culture. In 1997 he became a heart pacemaker for his heart rhythm disease, called the sick sinus syndrom. Because this disease sounds definetly similar to the music Sick Sinus likes to play, he decided to use his disease cynically but also humoristic for his dj name. Hendrik Rollin' became Sick Sinus in 2002, when he moved from Münster to Berlin.
In that German capital he became more and more an extemely versatile dj, which putted him quite into an opposition to the majority of strictly puriste djs.
Today he's combining bassline driven Fidget House with serious Techno, leftfield Disco and all kinds of Booty stuff from Baltimore and Brazil.

Sagenhaft! Die Hauptband von Salon Obskur im August, Lord Mouse & The Kalypso Kats hat bis jetzt bei jeder Gelegenheit Räume bis zum bersten gefüllt und dabei immer begeisterte, verschwitzte Gesichter hinterlassen. Vielleicht liegt das daran, daß die Band einen obskuren karibischen Musikstil importiert - nicht aus Jamaica, nein, aus Trinidad, Tobago: Calypso! - Vielleicht liegts an Lord Mouse, der mit seinem samtweichen Bass die Frauenherzen im Offbeat schlagen lässt, vielleicht aber auch daran, daß der Charme der 13-köpfigen Kapelle mit Backgroundsängerinnen ihr Publikum schlicht umhaut.
Dazu schleppen die DJs Cup Of Jazz und Christopher Rose wieder Berge rar gewordenen Vinyls hinter die Plattenspieler um uns mit swingenden Juwelen aus alten Tagen zu betören.
