About Slavick

DJ Slavick, Lukas Slavik by his real name, has developed great passion for electronic music during his years on the high school. After graduation he got a job and earned enough money to buy first pair of decks and few jungle records. Since then things really started spinning fast forward. Lukas found out that his old friends from childhood got in the same game and as Shadow Cabaret Sound System they have rocked hundreds of rave parties all around Czech Rep., including several years of infamous Czech-Tek. During these years he has been also playing in Revolution Of Sound band with an excellent didjeridoo player Dundee and percussionist Jack. He also ran a monthly club night Jungle Book in the city of Budvar beer, Ceske Budejovice. He is also proud supporter of his hometown festival Muffin, which he happend first time in 2005 and since then is growing bigger every year. Early in 2006 Lukas has got hungry for some refreshing life experience and moved to Ireland. After two years of struggling (but still trying:) to learn some music production skills and rocking private house-parties around Dublin, he finally seems to meet the right people and recently has been and working with Breakdown crew, which is spreading the city of Dublin with broken beats on different speeds and is also running monthly night in Underground club (Kennedys). From time to time you can also read some reviews of digital djing related stuff on Czech info website Drumandbass.cz
