About me: Rock'n'Roll is one important part of my life. I started listening to all kinds of 50's R'n'R in the early eighties. 1985 I discovered British Neo- & Psychobilly which really made the hair in my neck stand up. During that time I started - inspired mainly by Bill Haley & the Comets - playing Tenor Sax.
Early 1990 I moved from the countryside to the big wild city of Hamburg - and immediately was adsorbed by a sizzling scene. During that time all british and scandinavian bands touring europe went through this town and stayed a night on stage somewhere. With Ralf Schumann (later upright bass-player of the Dixie Gunworks and founder of Waterhole Records) I got involved in the Demon Love-Fanzine which we did together with Guido Neumann of Crazy Love-Records.
In 1994 I started booking bands and spinning the wax at Rock'n'Roll-events at the Knust. Soon after I joined the Dixie Gunworks as sax-player and stage-hand. On stage the literally "fifth wheel on the wagon" appearing only at a mere handful of songs of a real guitar-based band - but Oh!What great time!
About the time the Gunworks split up the dayly job-for-survive took more time. Nowadays I'm not so often at the scene any more but still active as DJ at Rock'n'Roll and Psychobilly-events of all kinds, e.g. Satanic Stomp, Rumble at the Slaughterhouse, Kings of Psychobilly, and at clubs like the 20 Flight Rock or the Queen Calavera. The rest of my rare free time is dedicated to my reptiles and amphibians - but that's a completely different story....
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who is involved into the Rock'n'Roll-scene (and might even remember me from earlier days....)
