About me:
DJSOC MYSPACE GROUP: GROUPS.MYSPACE.COM/DJSOC
Southampton University DJ Society is run by the DJs at Southampton Uni for the benefit of everyone at Southampton Uni.
The society's members include many DJs who spin at events held around the University and beyond. Membership is not however limited to this; we exist to support the dance music scene in Southampton and openly welcome anyone who shares this aim.
We run a regular night in the one and only Bridge Bar at SUSU called Fusion, where you can come along and play some tunes as a society member. This is the only regular dance night that happens at Southampton University, so come down and show some love!
We are always looking for new DJs to play at our nights, so if you're looking for your first chance to play to a crowd then drop us a line.
Past and present DJSoc members have achieved a multitude of accomplishments within the music industry with the help of the society. Olly Perris is a sucessful hard dance producer having released music on Nukleuz records amongst others. Dave King reached the national final of the 2005 Telegraph Student DJ competition, held at the Ministry of Sound, and Acute's tunes have been supported by household names such as Armin van Buuren, BK and Anne Savage. Other members of the society have been recognised in iDJ magazine's Raw Talent mix demo feature.
