Having traveled and lived in multiple continents, Sonix, DJ, musician, and aspiring artist can be dubbed as an international rolling stone, honing his niche in the midst of transitions. Such worldly lifestyle has chiseled him into quite an original innovator. Distancing himself from the norm, Sonix has been a leading pioneer in what he plays and how he plays. His artistry shines from his worldly experience and creative nature.

It all began during his relentless quest to find the perfect sound. Sonix stumbled upon Trance around '96 when a friend handed him an Oakenfold mixtape in Canada. Upon listening to only the first few minutes of Oakey's tape, Sonix knew at that moment that he found what he was searching for for a long time. In the midst of his frequent travels and busy schedule, one element in his life that remained constant in familiar territory and that felt right at home was Trance. It gave him the opportunity to focus on tranquility, on being at peace with oneself and with the world, and tune out the hecticness that life demanded. Ever since then, Trance and all of its forms have became his escape to musical and spiritual bliss in a dimension outside of the limitations of space and time.

In 1997, Sonix began exploring the different aspects of Trance and Progressive productions. With his experience from playing the piano and saxophone as well as knowledge in music theory and heavy influence from film music, Sonix produced a type of progressive music that was (and still is) full of crescendos, epic builds, dramatic effects in the classical sense, and induced strong emotions and nostalgic feelings, yet funky and playful at times as well. Since then, naturally, Sonix has been focusing on evoking emotions and feelings through his music. Such interaction has given his unique take on music its own genre, with rich layering of intricate sounds and prolonged builds, just like a soundtrack to life found evident in his music and live sets, with ups and downs, surprising twists and turns, sending chills down the spine.

In hopes of spreading the love for Trance, Sonix started his independent SnX Records label in 1998. While mixing in the studio and DJing at parties throughout Canada, his unique massive sound quickly magnetized the hearts of many fans across the nation.

Towards the end of '98, this international brainchild moved to California and shared his Canadian sound to the club-goers in the States. Immediately, listeners felt in love with his distinctive heart-pounding basslines and lush melodies.

Throughout his DJing career in America, Sonix has earned a respectful reputation of elevating the dancefloor with his signature marathons. What sets Sonix apart from others is his unique style of mixing a full spectrum of Electronic Dance Music into one seamlessly progressing unison motion, sending the audience into an emotional frenzy. Using a vast array of DJing arsenals from House to Progressive to Breaks to Trance to Techno to Hard Dance and so on, Sonix is able to bring in each element and transcend the dancefloor gracefully. The end result is a skillfully crafted musical realm that taunts the audience to crave for more.

To date, Sonix has performed in North America and Asia at clubs, raves, festivals, in addition to global radio shows around the world including Europe, Australia, and South America. Fans from around the world have praised Sonix for his mesmerizing live performances. They have described his breathtaking sets as energetically trippy, hypnotically mind-blowing, as well as complimented his sound as a sonorous flow of Oakenfold, J00F, AvB, PvD, Tiesto, and Sasha with a spice of Hybrid's Nu Skool and Progressive Breaks. PROMOS:
I am honoured to receive your labels' promos, but there are a lot of new digital labels out there nowadays that release huge batches of tunes that frankly don't do it for me. They are easy to put out because of the nature of digital releases, but it seems quantity is sometimes taking the upper hand over quality. If you have a new label that is just starting out, I appreciate receiving only your best two or three releases so that I can focus on them rather than skipping through dozens of tracks.

To me it is a very unefficient and unfriendly way of promoting and doing business, ending up with much more of a nuisance to everyone.
