You Know Who It Is...Speedy You A Fool For This One Pimp My Profile
Part 1
Part 2
Well before Grammy nominated rapper Young Jeezy proclaimed the words “you a fool for this one Speedy” on his underground hit “I Do This, off of the multi-platinum The Inspiration” Orangeburg, SC native DJ Speedy had already crafted some of hip-hop’s hottest records. However Jeezy’s verbal cosign helped catapult speedy into the next echelon of hip-hop producers.
Hailing from the quiet streets of Orangeburg, SC, DJ Speedy, also known as Harvey, is a rising star in the music industry. Having produced some of today's hottest music such as Steppin Out by recording artist Big Gipp ft Sleepy Brown of Outkast (2003), this small town country boy is definitely on top of his game.
DJ Speedy began producing tracks as a side hustle while mixing on South Carolinas Hottest radio station Big DM 101.3 FM. Working side by side with DJ Prince Ice, on the Ice Cold Radio Show, DJ Speedy wasted no time networking and branding himself as an "A" list producer. After mastering his craft and attracting the attention of T-Mo and Big Gipp of Goodie Mob, DJ Speedy was on his way to making history.
After relocating to Atlanta with cousin, Kevin Hallingquest, in 2000, the two formed Speedy Productions Inc. Business picked up quickly as the rising star produced most of Goodie Mobs next two albums, "Mutant Mindframe" in 2003 and "One Monkey Don't Stop No Show" in 2004. The respected producer moved on to work with numerous artists including B.G., former member of The Hot Boyz, on the single, "Rolling in My Cadillac" off of the Life after Cash Money album in 2004.
After earning his stripes as a certified producer, DJ Speedy was now in the driver's seat as the hit maker everyone was looking for. Through mutual friends, he managed to link up with Def Jam/CTE recording artist, Young Jeezy. In a matter of days, he was signed to Young Jeezy's record label, Def Jam/Corporate Thugz Entertainment. DJ Speedy produced the first single, "I Do This", off of Young Jeezy's sophomore album entitled, "The Inspiration" which debuted at number one on Billboard's Hot 200 in 2006.
DJ Speedy makes melodic beats perfect for everyone to ride to; music that is appealing to all genres. Along with the skills on the keyboard and drum machine, DJ Speedy is making a name for himself as a serious lyricist! In the near future he plans to release a solo album but for now, he is too busy making musical history with the biggest names in the industry.
Speedy Productions Inc. has a lot in store for the game and has no plans of stopping anytime soon. Since leaving the CTE/Def Jam imprint, DJ Speedy has been in the middle of a bidding war for his services from every major label across the country. When asked about the situation, DJ Speedy say's, I've put in a lot of hard work, so I not surprised. I'm looking forward to working with artist from all over the world.
Speaking on his upcoming solo project, "Don't Take Me Serious", Speedy say's this CD is sure to answer all questions about exactly who is DJ Speedy. With songs like "Papered Up" featuring Gucci Mane and "Gangsta Nerd" both getting serious attention and spins, it wont be long before long before DJ Speedy finds a new home for his tremendous skills behind the board and on the mic. Speedy teams up with Ray Rush on the single "Papered Up" and has created a sure club banger with the melodic hit "Porn Star" featuring Ekstreme.
Speedy Productions Inc. has produced and is working on music for Derrty Ent./Universal Records, Goodie Mob/Koch, Chopper City/Koch and Def Jam/Corporate Thugz Entertainment and more. DJ Speedy has productions credits for and is presently working with Beyonce, Outkast, OJ the Juice Man, Gucci Mane, Young Capone, Kelly Rowland, Juney Boomdata, Slick Pulla, Blood Raw, Slim Thug, Paul Wall, BG, Chamillionaire and more!
Also look for the new single, "Night, Night", from Speedy Productions Inc., featured on the forth coming "Sir Lucious Leftfoot, The Legend of Chico Dusty", CD from Big Boi of Outkast.
