DJ SPIDER

Whether you're rocking out to his set at an LA hotspot or listening to one of his mixtapes, the unique style of DJ Spider is apparent. Though his roots stem from a deep love for hip-hop, Spider has cultivated his sound to include an eclectic mix of cuts that transgress nearly every genre of music. No matter what kind of crowd, he is guaranteed to rock the party playing hip hop, soul, funk, reggae, electro, house, bmore, pop, rock and more.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, DJ Spider has worked tirelessly at developing his craft since he bought his first set of turntables in 1996. DJ Spider's introduction into the mainstream, however, came when he won the Next on the Decks contest presented by BPM Magazine in June of 2006. Although Spider had already cemented his reputation throughout the L.A. club scene, the contest propelled him to national notoriety. As the winner of the contest, Spider was given the opportunity to tour the US with Mark Ronson, and perform with DJ AM at Mansion in Miami during Winter Music Conference. Around the same time Spider was chosen to be the official tour DJ for Myspace parties throughout the country and consistently viewed on the main page as a featured DJ.

Recently, Spider has begun a Friday night residency at Tryst Nightclub inside the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas, as well as his continuing monthly residencies at Borgata Casino in Atlantic City, Sub51 in Chicago, Voyeur in Hollywood, Wall in Miami and more. In 2009 Spider was asked to be on the cover of BPM Magazine along with other top LA djs the late great DJ AM, Steve Aoki, Peanut Butter Wolf, DJ Fashen, Marshall Barnes and Pase Rock.

Spider has been tapped to produce official remixes for some major recording artists with one of his production partners Mr. Best. They have done official remixes for Usher (DJs Got Us Falling in Love & Love in this Club), Keri Hilson ft Akon, Lil Mama ft. T-Pain & Chris Brown, Ciara ft T-Pain, Michelle Williams (Destiny’s Child), Patty Labelle & Wyclef along with his own remixes for Pase Rock and orginal work like Tried By 12 (The Murdera) that are played by other djs worldwide. He has also recently teamed up with super producer and artist Lil Jon to do 2 mix cds called Rock Box Vol 1 and 2. Spider and Lil Jon created a 4 turnable show that has toured across the US djing club venues and corporate parties for companies like Verizon and Blackberry. Spider has also recently mastered the art of djing music videos, and hosts a weekly party in LA called the SURE/SHOT where he spins music videos and movie clips while hosting music video release parties for artists and doing themed video parties. He has also made special appearances on L.A. radio station giant, POWER 106, New York’s East Village Radio with Mark Ronson, djed at the E! Entertainment Golden Globes Party in Hollywood with DJ AM, done countless Sundance Film Festival parties, Oscar Parties, and Super Bowl events. Spider has licensed his songs to major movies such as Oscar award winning CRASH, and network TV shows such as MTV's The Real World.

Currently Spider is one of the most in demand DJ's in the US for all types of events. He has toured nightclubs in Japan, Europe and Canada as well as constantly being on tour the US. Though he frequently travels the globe, you can still catch him in his hometown at Hollywood hotspots such as Voyeur, Trousdale, Mystudio, Boudoir, Drais, The W, Crown Bar, Winstons, and more.
