The Saturday mornings running to spend my pocket money on the latest 45s have transformed into late nights playing them and more recently aquired 12's to packed dance-floors. It has taken a few years to get where I am now but with my genuine passion for music it has been a great journey and my love of music has been a constant. What changed things dramatically is when back in ’88 when one of my 4 older sisters brought home a copy of the Beatie Boys: Licence to Ill. I heard bits of the Soul & Rock records I had been listening to for years in a way that was fascinating & exciting in equal measure. That was it he had discovered Hip-Hop and then the party really started!

From the teen house parties, to the early years in any venue big enough to take our Sativa Sound System & the more recent times packing clubs with SoulBrew & then The Doctor's Orders I have always loved rocking parties and am blessed that I get to make a living off of something I genuinely love doing. With meon the decks you can expect to hear anything from classic funk, rare groove & reggae to some unexpected dance-floor fillers, always mixed with the Hip-Hop beats & style that has influenced me since that afternoon lying on his sisters floor watching that Def-Jam logo spin.

Alongside residencies at my own nights The Doctor's Orders @ Herbal & the one off SoulBrew parties both on land and river I hold down residencies for Fidgit @ Plan B, The Elbow Room and travel the world doing guest spots anywhere with a dance-floor and a budget! As well as clubs I have rocked events as varied as the B-Boy battles, record release parties and film rap parties throughout Europe & over the years have had the pleasure to play alongside some of the people that got me into this in the first place; De La Soul, DJ Cash Money, Jazzy Jeff, DJ Babu, Norman Jay, Jazzie B, & DJ Shadow among many others.

J-DILLA CHANGED MY LIFE

Having successfully tried my hand at production & radio (something I plan to get back into in due course) I still prefer to concentrate on what he does best, rocking parties with the open minded party selection that has seen booties shaking all over the world for the last 10+ years.
