Hi where STEVE AND NICK. we are promoters from halifax. Currently doing alot of sets and gigs around yorkshire and have other venues in the pipeline. the new project is fairfields live lounge, The night will be that of m.t.v live and unpluged feel showcasing the best yorkshire musicians and bands in the area, with bigger signed bands coming to play from out of town on special occasions. LIVE LOUNGE takes place every second friday at the fantastic uky club in halifax, and is looking to expand to differnt venues in the near future. i also have big things planned in the near future in the promotion game in general. im a very out going person with lots of drive and enthusiasm in what i do. things are not made successful by sitting back they are made successful by going out and MAKING it successful. i look forward to getting to know some wicked djs, bands and promoters. laters. x

LAST EVER GIG AT THE ROYAL OAK AS IT IS SHUTTING DOWN!!! Stacked Promotions Battle of the Bands 2009 Heat 2 at the Royal Oak 20th June. Come vote for you favorite band or just come for a good time. The third heat 3rd July and 25th July final will be held at the YMCA Halifax and its bring your own booze.

Static Rain is a 2 piece band from the beautiful Yorkshire town of Keighley. Band members Tony Garthwaite and Jacob Barlow formed the band in 2008, driven by a joint passion for both electronic music and retro synths. The music they produce can be described as electronic pop with catchy choruses and memorable riffs that are prominent in all of their songs, making them popular with a very wide audience.
Following their initial success on MySpace, Static Rain continues to build a solid fan base and a strong reputation as a live act. The band is currently looking for gigs from June 09 onwards throughout the whole of the UK.
