..DJ STYLE BIO Over the last 19 years DJ Style has been an instrumental part of establishing the Hip-Hop R’n’B scene in Bristol. As well as organising his own club nights, Flava Of The Month, The Next Level, Code of The Streets, Then & Now and True Soul Survivors.

B.I.G (Born In The Ghetto) Productions is the dj outfit Style’s is member of, along with Dj Fagan and recording artist Wilks. The crew has been involved with pirate show for well over a decade, with Style’s hosting a popular show on Saturday which used to be on Passion Radio 106.2 (now online www.passionradiobristol.com). Dj Style has presented shows on several R.S.L stations, including Bay fm, Xpress fm (Cardiff) Respec fm, Powerjam, Ujima Radio West One, Burst fm (U.W.E) Kute fm, and has been featured on Galaxy 101 (now Kiss 101) and BBC Bristol.

In 2004 year Style was a radio co-ordinator for a youth station called Big Tyme Radio, which broadcast during the summer holidays. U.S top selling r'n'b group ATL also appeared and were interviewed on the station, during there UK tour.

Hip-Hop, Rare Groves Old School, R’n’B and Dancehall are his music preference. With his popularity locally, promoters book him for events and consultancy roles, due to his knowledge of the industry. He has organise charity nights for Save the Children & Oxfam.

He has conducted workshops for various organisation such has St Paul's Youth Promotions and CEED (Centre of Enterprise Employment & Development) Media Centre, Connexions (offers advice on education, careers, for 13-19 year olds in the UK). As well as taught a 10 week OCN accredited Performance Dj course.

Dj Style brings to the table a wealth of experience of presenting radio shows, as well as performing out live ( Soho, Creation, Blue Mountain, Bristol Academy, Mackies Bar, Elbow Rooms, Club Capri, Level, Thekla The Tube). Dj-ing alongside the likes of Daddy G, Semtex, Stretch Armstrong (former Hot 97 dj) Westwood, Roni Size, Rodney P, Mistri & Rampage . Also been support dj for Donnell Jones, Tribe Called Quest, Gwen MCcrae Lisa Maffia K.Ners & Massive Attacks.

You can check DJ Style's show CODE OF THE STREETS on Bristol's brand new community radio station UJIMA 98FM from Sat 5th July 8pm-10pm. Also every first Saturday's of every other month at Cosies Wine Bar The Basement 31 Portland Square Bristol "CODE OF THE STREET", next date Sat 6th September 2008
