HEAVY HEIGHTS:
For those not familiar with Houston, the "Heights" is a rich and
culturally diverse business and historical housing district on the
outskirts of downtown that house the poor and rich alike. Nestled in a
little 2 story rent home on 16th St. in the Heights you'll meet a 3 man
studio-lab rat pack cookin' down on some major global musical fare and
this is where the story begins.......
BadBwoy BMC, Joe B. and Dj Suma, members from two of Houston's longest
running and most respected urban soundsystems, Rebel Crew and Purrin Lion
came together over the last several months to create a brand new
dubstep/hip-hop trio "THE HEAVY HEIGHTS". The Heavy Heights will be
dropping new singles on StarlightBeats this summer from their upcoming
album, "Truth and Rights"! This album is a collection of the wickedest
basslines, dub, funky breaks and downtempo coming out of the U.S. in
awhile. The record is laced with unapologetic hip-hop lyrics and
interludes that rival all b-boys and soundboyz to stay inspired, motivated
to dance and perfect their craft. As member Joe B says, "the answers are
inside the work". If you are looking for a track formatted for mainstream
radio play you will not find it here, these boys are skooled vets from the
mid-80's underground club scene with plenty achievements under their belt
in indie dance music and honored by leading national industry publications
such as URB Magazine, DJ, Envy Magazine and Billboard. nuff said. You can
check out more on this new act at the links below, thanks for the support
and we hope you enjoy THE HEAVY HEIGHTS! Let us know what you think at

I will be in Houston for a week this coming January before heading back out to the West Coast. Hope to get to see you this time around, hope life is treating you well, many blessings, one love : )
