Eslick and I were at the Unity Music Fest in Jacksonville; freezing cold rain blowing in sideways sending everybody that was at the fest running for whatever tent they could find. .....Noonan's MDA had already started to feel like electricity running through my veins.... only seemed appropriate to grab two beers and double fist before dashing to the nearest tent for cover. Luckily for us the closest tent was the Drum N' Bass tent... Walked in to see about 50 people going nuts. The dj was setup in the corner and before I could even see him I was blessed to the sound of Raining Blood by Slayer... ...only instead of the thrash d beat I was so used to; it was the most intense 2 & 4 dnb breakbeat I've ever heard and what I saw on the dancefloor rivals On Broken Wings at the Neptunes Lounge. I could have died. Who the fuck is this guy? They make dnb like this? Looked in the corner and behind two Technics wheels of steel was this tall fucking lumberjack. Wearing a flannel jacket (think Al from Home Improvement) sporting long black hair and a mustache I could have sworn had popcorn stuck in it... ...DJ SWAMP.... .....fucking RIPPING IT. period... I've seen a lot of people put their fingers on wax since then but nothing has even COME CLOSE to what I saw that day. You'll understand one day...
