Over the past 9 years, Tha Roman has cultivated a unique sound, weaving trip hop, ambient, downtempo, and funk into sets that have been described as beautiful, uplifting, rich, spiritual, and smooth.
Roman began attending Moontribe's Full Moon Gatherings in 1994. After being "raised, nurtured, and enlightened" (both musically and spiritually) on its vast natural dance floors, he produced his first mixtape, "Beginning Music."
Following the celebrated release of this mix, Tha Roman made his debut at the 5-year anniversary in 1998 and was invited to become part of the Moontribe DJ collective in 1999.
Since then, he has become a staple sound for Moontribe mornings, and has brought his trademark sound to various indoor and outdoor events across the US and Canada.
Tha Roman is currently living in los angeles, creating original tracks and mixes, flash websites, occasional scoring and sound design for film and tv, and.. a few other things.
I'm tired, I'm hungry, my back hurts, and I'm thirsty. And I called you when I was in LA in December, but SOMEONE answered the phone that wasn't you - what the devil's going on there, big boy?
Yat dut duh-duh dut da!! I think this should be the required spelling. Oh, and you'd be proud to know I actually had to ask someone to give me my ass back. I thought of you...
