Tony Smoove launched onto the music scene in the mid 1990s following a passion for oldskool, jungle, hardcore, garage and house music. Starting at the tender age of 16, Smoove (known as Darren T back then) got involved with many pirate radio stations including Vision FM, Slammin 98 FM, Soundz 94.3, Force 106.5Fm and more recently Centre Force and Fresh Radio UK.
1998 Smoove and M!A!C joined forces to create remix group called "The Central Dance Crew" where they remixed almost 10 tracks together. Summer Breeze - a 1998 2-Step remix of the Isley Brothers RnB hit got great publicity after the Dreem Team played it on their Radio 1 show and "Mystery" - A Garage remix of Madonna's "Like A Prayer" got aired for almost four weeks on Street Boy's Kiss 100 radio show.
In Summer 2001 Smoove hit the Greek Island of Faliraki where he DJ'ed for 6 months in bars, clubs and commercial radio - This included Pozers bar, G-Spot, Reflexions, Pleasure Rooms and Art Bar.
In 2003 Tony Smoove then went on to work with fellow DJ and music producer Simon C to create a funky house brand called "Love to Funk" promoting bars and clubs in London and Kent.
Over the past 13 years Smoove's knowledge and experiences have evolved him into an adaptable and advanced music producer in various genres such as funky house, drum & bass, R&B and pop.
Now working from his own studios in Kent, Smoove has worked with many faces from the industry including Artful Dodger, Dina Vass, Erb N Dub, DJ Jolie, Mr Buzz Hard, M!A!C, DJ Caution, LeisureGroove, Simon C, Dub Conspiracy, Imaani and MC Split.
