DJ Tree, who learned to spin records in Frankfurt, Germany, began playing clubs in New Orleans when he was 25. He was a popular attraction at House of Blues, Club 172 and the State Palace Theatre. Before Tree moved to Memphis, he travelled all over the United States playing a lot more raves than clubs. Raves are just a much more high-energy atmosphere. In 2001, he moved to Memphis where he was the resident DJ for a year at one of Memphis' hottest spots, Senses. He has played at almost every club in the city since then. You can find him now at KING BISCUIT DINER every Tuesday and Friday. KING BISCUIT DINER is a new, upscale restaurant which becomes a hip lounge atomosphere at 10pm for the late night crowd. He has recently earned his own show on Memphis' hottest new radio station SNAP 94.1. The show is called "Eat to the Beat" and airs every weekday from 12-1pm. You can eat lunch and listen to high energy music mixed beat to beat. His unique style has created quite a following in Memphis. He plays for a lot of private parties and also travels around the southeast doing what he loves....making people dance. Being one of the tallest deejays in Memphis definately sets him apart from everyone else. He is 6'8" and has a energy when he is behind the tables that no one else can duplicate. He has several CD's available which are a mixture of high-energy beats, including breakbeats, house and hip-hop - as he says "a little of the new school and the old school mixed into a big pot of gumbo".
