Hello, my name is Turbodaze aka Jared Hansen and I'm 21 years old. I live in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I've been playing videogames since I was like 3 or 4. I remember playing the ninja turtles videogames, battletoads, galaga, and loads of snes games. Music has been a huge part of my life with videogames lol. I called up the radio station KAUR 89.1 at Augustana College in Sioux Falls. Chuck Carlson said I could come in the station and my friend Marshall and I were able to talk on the radio. Chuck told us we could volunteer at the station and we sure did. The Motopsycho Show with Speed and Warchild was born. I was only 15 years old at the time. I wanted to play more my music instead of the stations and ended getting let go after playing SlipKnot. I've been into all types of music from Smooth Jazz and New Age to Heavy Metal and Rap. I remember some of my first cd's were Salt N Pepa and Green Day back in 93 and 94.
After I graduated high school I went on a trip with my my cousin Mikey to San Diego, CA. We went to MysterE Club in Tijuana, Mexico. I was hook on the "club life" after that. We both decided to live in Las Vegas and did so till my cousin had a child after 2 months. We went back and I wanted to get into electronic music. I ended up finding Digitally Imported when I was at the library. I was so addicted to the trance and happy hardcore stations on di.fm
I decided the next time I would have some money, I would travel to Minneapolis. I was able to see Kimball Collins @ Barfly and loved the vibe Minneapolis people had. They were so welcoming and friendly, I just had to come more and more. In July 06, I met DJ Ryan David and we ended up having a very good friendship and he would show me the way of edm lol. We went to Future Perfect where I seen the "GAMEBOY AT WORK". WTF aka Mc Obliquity was using nanoloop and after the show he told me to look on the web. I searched in Nov. 07 and bought a DMG and LSDJ cart. LSDJ was complicated at first but now I understand pretty decently now. I got nanoloop and PixelH8 music tech as well. Just recently I performed at 2 parties in one night! Let alone it was the time I've perform with my gameboy on stage. I don't know where the gameboy will take me, but everything is looking up for me!
