I first started mixing at the young age of 15 but this was only on the computer using virtual DJ and other software like Ejay. Once i got bored of this software i wondered how i could become a real DJ and what it would take to be able to DJ in clubs and bars. So i asked my mum for my first set of turntables for my 16th birthday and ever since then its all ive wanted to do.
As I was building up my record collection i was dj'ing at a local youth club, once i had been learning how to DJ at this youth club for around 5 months they asked me if i would like to teach DJ'ing to the kids in there, At first i was a bit nervous as it was my first time but i was willing to give it a try. I teached kids to DJ for around 6 months and enjoyed it a lot as i was getting practice myself at the same time.
Once i had finished teaching in the youth club i had built up a decent record collection that would be fit for any DJ's record bag. So i had a years experienece and my records and bieng young thought i could take on the world... so i decided to put a mix CD together to give to clubs so that they could hire me, At first the work never came in straight away as my name wasnt known that much.
I then got my first propper set in the magnet under LSB (Liverpool street battles) this went very well and from theer on people have been booking me for gigs and hiring me to work in clubs... I have worked in a lot of bars and clubs including the new Liverpool echo arena.
After doing a few bars and clubs i got asked to join Slip N Slide DJ's by DJ Ames which i agreed to and I now promote for artists like Rick Ross, Plies, Trina, Pete Pablo and the Ying Yang twins. I also work on mixtapes and promos with artists aswell so if you an artists who is looking to work with a DJ then feel free to get in touch with me, look forward to hearing from you.
