Vassi was born on 14th of July 1984 in Smolian, Bulgaria.
He is son of a DJ, and he grows up in the clubs in Smolian and Pamporovo.
His career as a DJ starts when he is only 14 years old in the biggest club
in his town. In 2 years Vassi becomes one of the leading DJs in the region;
his name appears on every big event in town. When he is 17, Vassi starts
playing in major clubs in the winter resort of Pamporovo. Working mainly
with English and Irish party people, Vassi gets influenced with UK disco and
house sound. Bands like Basement Jaxx, X-Press 2, Shake Down, Shapeshifters
and DJs like Pete Tong and Boy George make a big impression on him.
