In 1998 Vekx started to mix his first house records. Inspired by dj's that he had seen while he was clubbing, Vekx learned himself how to beatmix. With a pair of second hand turntables and a mixer he spent a lot of time at his bedroom and develloped his own skills.
In 2004 Vekx hooked up with his mate dj Svaiy. After playing some back 2 back sets both friends decided to keep on playing as a duo. The sound of Svaiy & Vekx is a mix of pumpin house, dirty tech-house and a dash of techno. Their sets are exciting and energetic and will keep the dancefloor moving. Because of Svaiy & Vekx' s enthusiasm, sound and skills, they play regulary at parties, festivals and clubs.
In 2005 Svaiy & Vekx started their "Yum Yum" parties in the Azijnfabriek in Roermond. "Yum Yum" is ment to be a party for different styles of house music. As long as it is "House with a bite" it can be played at "Yum Yum". After a slow beginning the "Yum Yum" parties have grown to one of the best dance-parties in the Mid Limburg area. Dj's such as Benny Rodriguez, Warren Fellow, Bart Skils, Eric de Man, Marcella, Monica Electronica, Rene Amesz and Isis have performed at "Yum Yum" .
Vekx has also shown his talent during the "Zuiderstorm" dj contest 2007 where he performed solo again. His sound and skills took him into the finals and after a solid performance Vekx finished first runner up.
Since they hooked up Svaiy & Vekx have played at parties such as: Extrema Solar Weekend, FreeFunk Festival, Chop Chop Outdoor, Mesj (Perron 55), Sonic Planet (Perron 55), Pure (Splinter), Yum Yum (Azijnfabriek), Sliced ('t Haofke), Central China (Café Central), Domingo Feelings (Stoba),Club Exclusive (Graanbeurs), Puik (Locomotief), Djokerz (Taiphoon), De Rechter.
